Wowzers....

A quick thought before calling it a night...One of the reasons I got into blogging about the Pittsburgh Steelers and the NFL in general, is the (in my opinion) lazy and hype-driven coverage ESPN provides. I was just watching SportsCenter and was subjected to Sean Salisbury, Mike Golic, and some other goon talking about who was going to play in Super Bowl 41. Salisbury just said, "The Carolina Panthers are without a doubt, winning the Super Bowl."

I suppose the media is supposed to provide prognostications as part of their coverage, but I just astounded to hear these guys declare the Super Bowl participants without mentioning the possibility of injuries derailing their picks. I guess I'm nitpicking. Maybe its just anything that Sean Salisbury says seems to irk me.

Salisbury is

a complete moron. He, like most commentators has no clue. I heard him today on ESPN radio going off on something about baseball. He knows about as much about baseball as I do and I know nothing. He has to be loud and stick to some point, inane as it may be, for about thirty minutes and then go on to the next moronic conversation.
