Pittsburgh Steelers vs. CIncinnati Bengals Gameday Open Thread

The Steelers are back it after a tough, close loss at Denver last week. Cincy comes in 2-4, having won their previous contest. Pittsburgh is 4-2, atop the AFC North Standings.

It's an absolutely perfect day for football at Paul Brown Stadium in the Queen City. I expect both teams to play well.

Out for the Bengals:

T Willie Anderson (knee), LB Ahmad Brooks (groin), LB Caleb Miller (back)

Out for Pittsburgh:

A. Smith (knee); Doubtful: R. Clark (abdomen), B. McFadden (ankle); Probable: C. Kriewaldt (shoulder)

Go Steelers! Beat the criminals!

Huge Game for us today. Get your Towels out and help cheer the Steelers on to victory! Go Steelers!

I'm glad to see Hines get his.

Bengals
I'm still worried about their offense. This game isn't over yet. We've had some nice stops inside the 50, but they've moved the ball fairly well.

Offense
Dating back to the second half of the Broncos game, we've been basically perfect for nearly 60 straight minutes of football.

Leon Hall
Glad we didn't draft him btw.

great half
Great balance on offense, decent enough tackling on D. ANyone know who gets the ball first in the second half?

Holmes
I'm really impressed with how sure-handed he is, especially in traffic. For a smaller guy, he's tough as nails.

If they play like this they can beat anyone

laptop?
Are you able to watch the game or just track it through gametracker with your laptop?  If you are able to watch it please share because I am dying to see the games that aren't televised in my area.  Thanks!

I know it's expensive, but I couldn't be a bigger advocate of Sunday Ticket. Yes you have to get DirecTV to get it, but it's no more expensive than cable (no significant upfront costs if you're worried about that).

For those of you with kids and mortgages, you can stop reading. I respect financial priorities.

But if you're young, go out, and otherwise waste small chunks of money throughout the year, find a way to eliminate some frivolous spending and get the package. And if you go to sports bars to watch the games not in your area, definitely get it. How much would you normall spend at a sports bar watching the game? $15-$20 bucks? Multiply that by 8 - minimum number of games that are probably going to be out of market for you - and you basically have the cost of it covered.

dragonhawk, i did a little digging around and found this on some message board. Here's the link to the thread, but I'll include the relevant text below. Link.

Streaming footage of the games could be in the following downloadable programs:

http://www.myp2p.eu/Programs/Overview.htm

They are all mostly on SopCast so I suggest getting that one. It's a free P2P program and I use it to watch my Panthers.

Channels are updated here on gameday, usually one hour before the game starts or a few minutes into the game.

Not every game will always be streamed, sometimes people don't stream it or their stream goes offline when they are not home.

*******

Basically I think some people throw up a feed from home, and you can tap into it somehow. I'm going on the record here though: I didn't try this and have no idea if it works or is safe for your computer. It does look more legit and functional than some of the other gimmicks I found claiming to broadcast TV from your PC. Good luck.
