Steelers Fans, Name That Brownies Mascot

Hat tip to reader Stevesy for emaling me this photo he took during the Browns-Bengals telecast.

From his email:

What is up with the crazy elf logo the Brownies are using?!

Can we hold a contest to name the little fella?  My suggestion: "Jinx"

I'd love to post as a diary but I don't know how to attach an image...

Thanks,

Stevesy

I'll address your quesiton about uploading images at a later date by the way. For now, time for some other nickname suggestions. Winner receives:

Snazzy? No, but clean, crisp colors look good to me. Think Hines Ward.

Let's hear it.

Clumsy Smurf
And before anyone asks, that was a real smurf character name. It was a close choice between Clumsy and Stinky, but I had to go with Clumsy simply for the fact that he exiled himself to the forest due to the bad-luck curse poisoning the village. And my favorite quote of all-time.

Though not terribly bright, a klutz, and a terrible smurfball player, he is a good and caring friend.

If that's not the Browns, I just don't know what is.

Not to be a pragmatist or anything, but...
I think Browns fans call that elf dude "Brownie."

Someone Wikipedia/Google that though...I could be wrong.

brownie
Brownie is definitely the name...Wikipedia confirms it.  Apparently the current logo is an updated version of one the Browns used to use in the 40s and 50s.

I like clumsy smurf better, though.

Stinkerbell - the Brown fairy
that fits.

Been lurking for a while, but this little contest got me to register.

Let's go Steelers! Looks more and more like we'll be playing the Jags again...

Mr. Hankey's Little Helper
That would be Mr. Hankey the Christmas Poo from South Park. Why choose a fecal reference? Because the Browns uniform colors include the color of turd. Heck, isn't a brownie a slang term for feces?

And Little Helper since that would reference an elf.

hmm
I thought this might be an easy choice for me, but the last three entries from acrollet, steeler1275, and steelhammer have ratcheted up the competition. I like them all :)

We'll be leaving this up for at least another day. Thanks to all have have submitted. Merry Christmas.

I think we should call him skidmark or stain.

what about
Les peu marronie - in french that would mean the little brownie(thought about french cause of the smurfs) but I guess it isn't that sticky tho it sure is fun to pronounce that name :)

hehe
I like. If there were an international category, it'd be a slam dunk winner. In the running none the less :)

I nominate...
Michael.

I was looking at him and his huge ears, messed-up nose, creepy facial expression and questionable clothes all remind me of Michael Jackson.

And I mean, the Brownies always seem to suck at the opportune moment...

Sorry if that offended anybody.

Make-believeland's Scary Spryte
Remember their signs: Believeland?  I say this is their make-believeland mascot, who goes around in the forest sprinkling fairydust on all brownie fans to make them believe that they can win...then, the big bad Steely Mc Beam comes in and crushes them to the ground.

Hermey
Let's call him Hermey, after the elf who wanted to become a dentist in the claymation Rudolph special.  After all, playing the Browns is just like a visit to the dentist...do it twice a year to keep your teeth--oops, I mean your win/loss record--healthy.

Very impressive
My first time on the site in about a week.  When I first saw the competition I thought I was all over it, but after seeing some of the other names people are coming up with, I'm bowing out.  I'll give you my own humble opinion on the winner though. . .
  1. Chokey
  2. Teenie Brown McTeamie
  3. Hermie
  4. Jinx
  5. Stinkerbell

One more thing. . .
Hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable Christmas.  Loved every minute of being in the 'Burgh again.

I was thinking about heading to Baltimore for the game this weekend.  Anyone have any idea what ticket availability may be like in and around the stadium on gameday?  Anyone done this before?  Is it worth going to see a bunch of backups?

I think it's worth it
I don't know about the availability, but I would assume it would be pretty high considering the Ravens' recent performance and the lack of meaning to the game.  You could have the opportunity to see some of our younger guys get a little playtime in person...

It has to be better than my expierience... the only game I caught was the loss to the Jets.  That was excrutiating.

Come on!
Come on guys, put a little effort in!

No Dingleberry Fairy?
No Turtlehead?
No Little Brown Star?
No Hershey Squirt?
How about E.L. Fudge?
Sucky Charms?  They're magically Atrocious!

Brownie's name
Good day all.  Haven't been on here for over a week and it's nice to read all the posts. As for my suggestions for Brownie's name:

Blownie (as in blown opportunity)
Stain
Skidder
Shatzey (Irish take on shit, having the shits etc)
Smudge (or Smudgie, Smudge-O)
Splotch
Blight - the Brown Sprite

I could go on forever. The loss to the Bungles was unpardonable from a Cleveland fan's perspective. Wait till next year... I will say they are better, so Romeo has given himself 1-2 more years. How's about Marvin down in Cincy?
