How are we losing 10-0 against a Ravens team that is missing half its starters?

This is embarassing

i don't care how meaningless this game is
i cannot stand being beaten by these pieces of shit, put ben back in the game, let us get back up, and then worry about next week

it's a close game in SD and we need to be playing to win now

This is a joke- I am embarrassed
What is going on with this crappy played game, this is a poor excuse for a playoff bound team.  Based on how they have played I don't think they will have to worry who they play next week, because it will be a LOSS.

I don't even like to say the above words but I am mad at their execution.

grewupindaburgh-still love it....

Well
at least we showed some guts and made a game of it.  Batch made a very bad decision on that last throw, but thankfully we have Big Ben.

depressing game
I don't care if we were playing the second team, that was pathetic. We'll see what team shows up next week. I'll be pleasantly surprised if we get out of the first round.

by dcfan85 on Dec 30, 2007 7:27 PM EST   0 recs

To say the least
I am horribly disappointed in our performance today. True, we didn't have Ben but we were playing a bad team. I agree, dcfan, I'll be surprised if we make it past the first round, especially since we play Jacksonville.

still disappointed but...
This scenario happened around the league today - mid-seed playoff teams losing to very bad opponents. Jags got blown out by Houston, Carolina beat TB, and the Falcons beat the Seahawks. Obviously I would like to have seen a better effort today, especially by the D, but I think there are upsides to this - we have a competent backup (last play of the game notwithstanding, but Ben probably would've made the same throw), Dookie showed he could get the yards when it counted, and we turned the intensity on when we needed it.

Our team is still a mystery and that's not a comforting feeling one week out of the playoffs, but if we come back 100% rested we just might throw some wrenches into JAX's AFC spoiler plans.

damning
this game was pretty sick.  it showed the glaring weaknesses we have.  we can't rush the passer.  we need better defensive linemen.  casey hampton is still pretty good but i think brett keisel is overrated.  3-4 or 4-3 we need some run stuffing d-linemen.  on the other side, it didn't appear that trai essex and kemoeatu played too bad.  as a matter of fact i thought essex was very good in pass pro. another game breaking WR with some size to complement holmes and ward would be nice but with washington developing and reid's potential i like our group of WR's for now.

nice to see...
us recover an onside kick. Here's hoping we won't need that particular trick next week!
