Sweet, Sweet Justice

"Reece Davis just announced the penalties handed down by the NFL to the New England Patriots.

BILL BELICHICK HIMSELF IS FINED $ 500,000

THE PATRIOTS ORGANIZATION IS FINED $ 250,000

PATRIOTS FORFEIT 2008 1ST ROUND DRAFT PICK IF THEY REACH THE PLAYOFFS. (2ND & 3RD ROUND PICKS IF THEY DON'T}"

I'd like something a little more immediate like a forfeiture, but hey take what you can get right.

I can't argue with that
I didn't think they'd get a suspension or forfeiture so this is the next best thing.

meh...
this penalty definitely has repurcusions but I was hoping for the forfeiture of the game against the Jets. That, to me, would have shown true backbone.

has there
ever been a forfeiture of a game in the NFL?

that's a really good question
And there are alot of other things to consider if the game is forfeited such as would the stats that were accumulated in that game count?
