4 09/30 @ ARI L   14-21 2 15 7.5 8 0 0 0 -- -- 0 --

those are davenport stats for the first four games  8 for 43, 6 for 46, 5 for 47, 2 for 15

now compare them to the stats of the running backs now.

these are the stats for the runningbacks on the roster now and you say we don't need davenport. now ok lets examine some things davenport first game last year 8 carries for 43 yard now compare that to mendenhall and moore total yardage. do the math he's a better back then those guys and he should start. but he proably won't

now lets go to teh jacksonville playoff game your saying he only had 25 yds

he also had like 40 yards receiving and two td. running behind a line missing 3 out of the five starters. you guys should take a look at the detail.

Player Att Yds Yds/Att Long TD
Willie Parker 66 263 4.0 32 3
Rashard Mendenhall 19 58 3.1 12 0
Carey Davis 10 18 1.8 8 0
Ben Roethlisberger 9 26 2.9 17 0

you should read closer

I more than acknowledged that Davenport had some good numbers last year. You should try actually reading the context of other people’s stories before wasting your time writing all this. The point was a more general one about taking risks with roster spots rather than going with what is comfortable and safe. Grammar, spelling and punctuation also help make one’s point.

Also, just as a little side note, notice the teams Dookie got to run against (make sure you keep in mind the early 2007 versions of these defenses). Sure, we lost to Arizona, but 2 runs totaling 15 yards really can’t be used as a standard of comparison.

Najeh, Is That You?

Honestly, I’ve never met a fanboy of Najeh, like you seem to be.

Well if the blog he keeps talking about is really ND's...

Then yes it his him, because I took a peek at that blog and there is a direct reference to BTSC, saying that he (“he” being Najeh) was looking at a certain blog and saying how they (meaning we) were bashing him, and that his 7 members of his blog should pray for them…

Wow

You’re right. Good research.

Who is saying we shouldn’t have signed him? We shouldn’t have needed to sign him, but thats beside the point now.

And like Blitz said, if you spent less time ranting and more time proofreading your gibberish you’d make a much better point.

Keep in mind

that for the first four, hell first 15 games of last season FWP was leading the league in rushing. So when Najeh enters the game, people expect pass, he runs and gets good yardage. Look at the games in which he started and was the feature back.

12/30 @ Balt. 12-27
1/5 Jax 16-25

Will he help, yes, should he be the feature back, NO!!

yea

I mean I was as pleased as anybody Davenport subbed in during that Rams game and dlievered but it was the freaking Rams. Dookies high point last year was that badass TD catch against NE.

i just went over to Nahjeh's website...

I don’t know what to say… I guess I’m curious what other atheletes maintain a blog by themselves, without a filter (read: someone that can write/edit etc.) such as Chris Coolio’s blog.

I enjoyed at least seeing the human side of him, and he has a nice picture with what I presume to be his son. That humanizes him somewhat, as I never can imagine how a player thinks, writes, or generally ‘is’ other than in a helmet and on a field hitting people. So in at least that regard, I learned something about him.

And Najeh, if you read this, I hate to disappoint you, but you aren’t likely to make any money with those sites that pay people to surf. http://thepassivedad.com/2008/01/will-yuwie-survive-and-pay-users/

Which brings me to another point- I really wonder what these seemingly average folks do once they start making the money that professional athletes garner. I guess I can’t believe an NFL player would be trying to make money with stuff like yuwie? I see in your blogger profile you are also in the spider marketing stuff. Let us know how that one works out, too. :\

LOL

Ay caramba. I mean, this guy did take a dump in a chick’s closet. I find it curious that Cedric Benson is labeled a thug and awful by folks and nothing is said about Davenport. Let’s see. I have lots of friends who drink and sometimes drive, and some of them are even kinda flaky when it comes to commitment. I know NO ONE who shits on other’s closets. Just sayin.

haha

Really, first introduction to that? I’m sorry. You must be shocked. haha. He gets his nickname Dookie from somewhere, after all.

Anyway, welcome back Najeh! I hope you’re in shape, we need ya!

read Najeh's blog late last night

and I think this is Najeh joining the blog to chat. I didn’t want to write anything immediately after reading it, ‘cause I’d had a few drinks & could’ve been convinced of anything, but now I soberly believe Najeh’s joined us on BTSC.

If so, let me heartily welcome you back, and mention that I will cheer until my throat bleeds for anyone in a Steelers jersey who takes the ball with him into the end zone.

And though I’ve been happily married for some time now, I can honestly say that in my younger days I dated plenty of ladies who more than deserved a shit in their hamper.

Best of luck Najeh!

hahaha. Let me tell you guys a funny college story: TMVT is out at the bars one saturday night, and meets a hot girl (literally, a Shakira look-alike). I take her to the dance floor and gets his grind on, leading to numerous walk-by high-fives from teammates and random guys at the bar, approving of the gorgeous babe. Did she notice the high-fives? No. Her face was practically in the ground as she bent over to dance with me. Few more drinks later and we were making out. So I take her back to my room, along with two of her friends (they were visiting our bars from another local college), she is TANKED. She passes out on my futon, so I go to plan B and hook up with one of her friends (not as hot, but still pretty good). Afterwards, I’m just laying there not quite asleep yet, and I hear some murmuring/commotion coming from the futon where Shakira has started to move. I get out of bed and ask her if shes alright or needs to use the bathroom (the womens room on our floor had a code, so I would have had to walk down and punch it in for her). She stumbles towards the door and says yes. I get in front of her and walk down the small hallway from our living room area to the door out to the rest of the dorms and the bathrooms. As I get to the door I hear a noise coming from behind me, and I turn around to see this gorgeous, 5’1, knockout blonde Shakira look-alike, going #1 in my closet. I laughed I was so stunned. I still laugh about it, it was probably the funniest thing I’ve ever seen. Fortunately she peed on an empty laundry bag I hadn’t used in weeks that was laying on the floor of the closet. Next morning at breakfast was funny, if a bit awkward, although to her credit she laughed if off and apologized a whole bunch. I didn’t really care because I had hooked up with her friend while she was passed out 4 feet away, so the night was still a win for me. Maybe her and Najeh should be together.

Davenport has the I.Q. of the turd he dropped in that basket

Plus he is butt ugly.

His NFL career was nothing to write home about, and he is definitely on the downside at this point.

Other than that we have no problem with him.

by robert ethan on Oct 2, 2008 4:27 PM EDT reply actions

Packers kept a former Steeler 7th rounder and an UDFA

…ahead of Davenport. Noah Herron and John Kuhn. That isn’t much of a recommendation.

by robert ethan on Oct 2, 2008 5:26 PM EDT reply actions

don't listen to this guy

The fact is we’re all losers who talk big on these blogs, but we’re all either ex-football players that peaked in middle school or just plain nerds. We really respect how much ability anyone in the NFL has, even if we can be hard on players we won’t have to see face to face. If you’re really Najeh, Really you guys!, we’d love to hear more from you.
