Steelers vs Bengals 2nd Half Open Thread
A tale of two quarters. In the first, we looked great. In the second? Not so much. We aren't going to be a consistent offensive football team though this year, I'm convinced. So, if we can respond to the blow Cincinnati threw our way on their last drive of the half, I'll be content. Nothing's given though. If we don't pick it up, we'll be heading back to Pittsburgh with another very disappointing road loss.
Go Steelers!

Leader in NFL in sacks
It’s Woodley’s turn now
"Damnit mom! You almost ran over Greg Lloyd!"
at an autograph signing back in 95. He walked out in front of our minivan, and my mom almost hit him. He apologized.

KNEW I should’ve picked Moore up in fantasy this week.

FG
direct result of horrible kick coverage. Can’t let them start at the 45. I knew this would be a dog fight. Ben gotta get us some points.

More Moore!

yeah
big play to start this quarter. advantage = offense. they have 3 minutes to pick the right play.
This is about the time...
That we choke. However, our offense is much more inspired. Fourth quarter brother. Good luck.

When You Run The Ball Good Things Happen
jeez
Brad Johnson and Gus Frerotte are just awful. Brad Johnson is just unbelievably terrrible. Let the drama begin in Big D!!!!!!!
Actually, it was Kenny Watson. He was manned.

Injury Prone...
But I guess that’s the breaks when you play as recklessly and excitingly as he does.

Yeap. Fourth Quarter breakdown. It's what Bengals do best.

Actually.
We also do the following pretty well.
- Poor pass protection.
- Limited effectiveness on running the ball.
- Allowing big plays.
In fact, I’d say we’re so good, we lead the league.

Great 4th Quarter
after a lackluster 2nd and 3rd. The Steelers let the Bengals hang around too long but in the end they ran it down their throats. Hope 43 and 20 are ok. Holmes, Ward and Moore played exceptional. Ben solid as usual. D was stellar early then layed back and let Fitz pick them. Took control in the 4th, Next week will be tougher test. I’m happy for the week!

My Coloniel just walked in,
I missed the last 20 minutes, what is the sack total for whom, I know we have 7 now, but who gets the credit?

Hines Ward
beautiful persistence. And love seeing those empty stands in Cincinnati — only Steelers fans left.
Gary Russell is SOOOOO GONE...
We hardly knew ye, Gary.
Maybe you can go back and finish up your degree now that you’ll have a lot of time on your hands.
Letting the opponent make a game out of it early and then trouncing them seems to be a theme this weekend in PA. Penn State yesterday, Steelers today.

whoa whoa whoa
No Sacks?
NO SACKS?
I know ben still got hit, and I doubt the line deserves much credit. But still, I’ll take it.
Could we be witnessing the best core of steelers linebackers evAr?
Congrats to Timmons for being a presence in the open field as well as in the bengals’ backfield.
Everyone is starting to expect 2 sack games for both Woodley and Harrison.
Just hoping that Polamalu and McFadden are okay.

Moore has proven to be much more than a 3rd down back
When Parker returns, Moore has to be inserted into game plans on downs besides 3rd.

Steelers 25 sacks after 6 games
NFL.com says the Steelers had 8 sacks today, which means they lead the NFL with 25 Holy s$#$%t
steelguy already mentioned this but we need to say something about the O-line
NO SACKS and Moore had a great game. Not only did we not allow sacks but Ben barely had to move the whole game. They gave him ample time on nearly every play, I was impressed. Since Stapleton replaced Simmons there has significantly better play from the line overall.
