open practice?

so i'm going to pittsburgh for family stuff next weekend, and of course, the steelers have their bye week. but, does anyone know if their practices are open to the public or what other options i'll have while in town? any events that you locals know about? any specific place to go and get a good dose of steelers football? someone help a non-native out. where's the steelers hall of fame? at heinz? thanks.

Heinz History Center
Has a Pittsburgh Sports Museum exhibit that is huge and worth checking out if you have time. http://sports.pghhistory.org/
Of course the Lombardi Trophies are in the Great Hall at Heinz Field, and with Pitt off next week too, not sure how you’re gonna swing that. Good luck though!

Tour of Heinz field
I’m not sure if they do them during the season but since both teams are on bye weeks, you could get lucky there. A friend of mine did one last summer and said it was awesome, they got to go in the locker room and on the field.
