Interesting Note about Giants and Skins games

I know we are ready to move on but I just heard an interesting interview from Giants linebacker Antonio Pierce about our o-line that will be important in the Redskins game. He said that when they learned Marvel Smith was not playing, they knew right away that they could get pressure on Ben from the left side of the line and that Kiwanuka (sp?) would be able to control Starks. If the Redskins are scouting our team and using last week's game, this is something that could present a problem. I know Taylor's not playing but they could put another speed rusher on that side and if we don't make adjustments, look out Ben. Thoughts?

I believe Tomlin said Smith was coming back this week…I think..I could be wrong but someone asked him at the press conference and I don’t remember hearing about him on the injury list.

Well

In my opinion Smith wasn’t playing great either. Starks was all right for 3 quarter being a right tackle playing left. It was our game for 3 quarters even with the turnovers. We had a melt down and the team that played four quarters won. Smith, Starks, or Essex doesn’t matter. The problems are much deeper.

Smith possibly still out

He’s still “Day-to-day”. I apologize to Colbert for my gnashing of teeth when they wouldn’t resign Smith in the pre-season. My bad.
