game day!

the defense will come to play. no doubt about it. they may not dominate but they will play well enough. if big ben doesn’t F-Up royally (like he has been doing all season) then the steelers will win. hopefully that won’t be too hard a task to ask ben. DONT SCREW IT UP!!!!!!!!!

Can the Steeler CBs hold up?

I dunno….but I’m praying that the LBs can get great pressure on Rivers to take some off the stand in CBs.

by SteelerBuddha on Nov 16, 2008 4:38 PM EST up reply actions

don’t agree at all. you give up an 18 yard pass play on third and short? you give up a 10+ yard run to l.t. on first down? you just let him run it right up the gut for the t.d.? mental mistake by a. smith on the off sides call? terrible job by the steelers d. they look flat and underprepared to me. not a good start at all. i am hoping they can turn it around.

...die trying
http://www.agentorangerecords.blogspot.com

by agentorange on Nov 16, 2008 4:41 PM EST up reply actions

third and short is quite an easy place to get burned for a biggish pass play as you are leaning more to defend the run…L.T. is still a premium back who can be expected to bust good runs every once in a while against even the greatest of defenses….everythings going to be alright. breathe, trust in the team.

by TheCincinnatiConqueror on Nov 16, 2008 5:04 PM EST up reply actions

OK guys

Don’t panic – this does put us in a bad hole considering the weather and our dinged up secondary… but now is gut check time for this team. They have to start pounding the ball against a pretty weak Chargers D

because our punter holds for Reed

and he had familiarity doing so. Not a big fan of that.

tho this one is on retkofsky

7-5

Padres over the Pirates.

by Hines Ward on Nov 16, 2008 5:47 PM EST reply actions

ok

huge swing there. Could have been 14-2

by Michael Bean on Nov 16, 2008 5:47 PM EST reply actions

7-5? crazy. the defense has two interceptions and a safety, and all we can do is 7-5. offensive ineptitude.

Man

Heath must be jealous, wondering where all these throws to the tight end have been when he’s been in there.
