John Clayton thinks Bill Cowher will be in Cleveland next year. CRAZY! Wow. The rivalry may be heading to unprecedented new heights.

That would be great...
Anytime the league adds a storyline, you have to be happy. It just makes each game so much more intense and interesting.

yup
Tough to imagine, but I agree. This is entertainment. And it sure would make things REAL interesting.

I was listening to Farrel and some other guy just now
and they said Cowher might just be playing with the browns to drum up more interest from other teams. I know he’s a professional, and the browns were never much of a problem during his era, but I just can’t see it. I can’t see him coaching a division rival. NFC teams, maybe. Then again being a Steelers and PSU fans, I haven’t much experience with coaches changing teams.

You have to remember that Cowher played 3 of his 6 professional football seasons in Cleveland, as well as getting his starting gigs as a coach. Some would say that they never would have imagined him taking a job in Pittsburgh, but he did, and he did it very well. But when it comes down to it, money talks, and if it does, Cowher will listen.
The question is of the power struggle. Will Cowher demand full reign over player personnel decisions, or will Browns’ owner Randy Lerner stick with Phil Savage?
You know Selig? Ombudsman.

Well
He did play as a Brown and coached there once. I think this may be a situation of money talks. We’ll see!

I honestly did not read your comment, but yours must have flooded into my subconscious as I was typing.
That is to say, I agree. It will be the main focus of our offseason, above and beyond any potential movement of a QB.

Been to both
Honestly, I have lived in both Cleveland and now in Raleigh, NC. NO AMOUNT OF MONEY could make me move back to Cleveland, esp. for the winter months.
Bill lives down the street from me. He actually has 2 houses, one of which is on a premiere gold club in Raleigh, which he is renovating. He is ALWAYS playing golf.
I don’t see him going to Cleveland. He doesn’t need the money AND he has NOTHING to prove. I see him coming back one day, but it won’t be with the Clowns.

Don't see it happening
SD seems like a possibility, just because of the overall talent right now, but I think that it would have to be if the current GM is fired. I doubt he would work for the guy who fired Marty. Also, I think Cowher still wants to stay near his family in Raleigh. He may still be the guy to replace Jim Zorn. After the great start, the ’skins have been disappointing lately.
Anyway, I wouldn’t put much stock in Cowher to Cleveland. There are U of Tenn fans thinking he’ll go there to replace Fulmer. That ain’t happening either.

I hope he doesnt
Look, if you handed me 10 million dollars, then maybe i’d consider coaching that poop heap.
But the bottom line is thats the enemy, I hate em, They stank. They are horrible.
Why go somewhere that will do nothing but leave a brown smear on your super bowl ring?
