one down, dallas next
Boy, what a great game(last night) if you are a steeler fan, that was the MOST complete game that I have seen them play all year. Before I go any further, the game ball goes to the O-LINE grade A+. That's going on 3 games where BB has had time to throw, and 2 games in a row with no sacks, if I'm not mistaken. Could they be possibly coming together? Every other area of the team, I would give them a A. what a total team effort on the road against a quality team(?). Even BA called a great game. I'm off to watch the game again to see if I missed some things, or if my eyes were playing tricks on me. This win has the ingredients of putting some nice wins together down the strecth. This is Steeler football. Could we be peaking at just the right time? Let's take care of Dallas next week. One at a time baby!

there was one sack.
ben got sacked once and if I recall, he kinda scrambled into it after 10 minutes of pumpfake.
apropos sacks, we really need our o-line to shut down demarcus ware next week. if he has no sacks and harrison gets 2, he takes the league sack lead.

I wonder how different this game would have been had Ty Warren been in. There were some severe holes on Colon’s side, and we all know that doesn’t tend to happen.

Does it matter
You can only beat who they put on the field. Injuries should never be an excuse because you know they are going to happen and have to plan for them.

It matters because Colon is a pile of crap and needs to be working hard this week instead of remembering fondly the times where he manhandled backup talent.

+1
But credit does go to the line. That front 7 is depleted, but not completely retarded either.
They face a huge test next week cause dallas sacks people almost as wild as we do. I hope the coaching staff doesnt look at the last couple and stop the short passing game. We need to keep the plays quick.

BTW
Ware and Barber both missed practice today and are listed as day to day.

I really don’t like to see anyone hurt against any team but the steelers. I wish them the best in their other endeavors.

Dallas
It’s funny I work and live in Dallas. At the beginning of the year there was a lot of chaterr about this game. I came to work today and no one really wants to talk about their beloved Cowgirls now. In fact one guy went so far as to say his Cowgirls don’t stand a chance. I love just how bandwagon Cowgirl fans are.
Romo is a good QB and gets the ball out rather quick, but their tackles aren’t playing all that great and if I recall correctly didn’t Seattle get pressure on Romo on Thanksgiving?
This will be a big test for our secondary but I think we can handle it. Hopefully Ike decides to play the ball and not the receiver. He should have got flagged for PI alot more than he did yesterday. He’s got to get his head around otherwise its too easy for the refs.

sack
NE’s sack came on a corner blitz from the back side. Not the OL’s fault. Ben did not hold the ball too long…he felt the pressure and covered the ball up.
