Attention
This week everything has gone Steelers. Magazine covers, interviews, specials, talking heads, it's everywhere. It's gotten to the point where we are now the favorites to go in on the road against Tennessee and take the number one seed. The realistic among us are getting nervous. This is the beginning of hubris. We have gotten our attention. Forget about walking into the playoffs with a hot team considered underdgogs. Going forward, I hope this team can maintain it's humility and stay focused. Otherwise I fear we have a short and painful postseason ahead of us.

I suspect ...
that this team has really not changed the way they approach any game. I suspect that the Steelers have always thought they were the team to beat. I suspect that to think the team will change its approach based on the blatherings of the press is not “level-headed” thinking. The outcomes of our final games and our playoff opportunities will be decided on the field and not inside anyone’s head.

Wiining
That’s what happens when you win almost all of your games. People notice and start talking about it. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

All things considered...
I’m surprised it took this long to get the attention. We’ve had the #1 defense for most of the season too. It seems like in the past when we were favored under the Cowher administration, we ended up losing. I think Tomlin has this team very focused. The D has always known they were good and while Ben has started to get some props, I think he knows deep down this offense is lackluster and still needs work. The hardest part will be if we lose at TEN, the CLE game becomes meaningless and a bye week follows that. I hope that Tomlin can keep them focused in their “off” time.

I believe they will be focused...
That defense has enough veterans to stay grounded. And our offense knows that they are sorry and can’t really let up. But ya’ll are right, the media is all over the steelers and personally i don’t llike it. Hopefully this team knows how to deal with the attention.

We have a lot of vets on this team
We might not go all the way. But if that’s the case, it will be most likely due to our offensive liabilities and not overconfidence on our part. Most of the leaders on this team were around in 04-05 when we were 15-1 and then lost to the F-ing Patriots.

We're going to be ok
This team has been there. They know how it goes. I feel like they can win it regardless of the media. There are no personal distractions.
And as houk said, they’ve seen a 15-1 team fall to cheaters, and they have won a super bowl.
So this is nothing. I expect them to take it on the chin and just keep on trucking.

IDK
We SHOULD be okay being that we have been here before, and know to ignore the media.
I mean yeah it is about friggin time they recognize that we are this good. I have felt the potential for this team since the loss to the Giants, and knew we could easily be the best team in the league as long as Ben played well.
BUT….
All of this hype does get me nervous. I mean sure the Giants didn’t really crack under the pressure, they just had injuries and were beaten, Tennessee I never thought were that good, and Dallas well…..LoL you can see how they fared tonight against the Ravens.
It is just something about being the limelight this early that just doesn’t sit well with me. Hopefully the Steelers don’t watch ESPN.
