Ben Roethlisberger Injury Updates
All we know at the moment is that Ben was taken to the hospital with a concussion. He was speaking and moving his arms and legs as he was taken off the field. Apparently Terry Bradshaw say it was a "slight" concussion for what its worth. Post in here if you find any updates (with link if possible). Let's all hope for the best!

Commentary on Ben
I truly hope Ben is okay, but I hope something good can come out of this, like Ben figuring out he needs to be more decisive and get rid of the ball quicker. I truly believe he is on the brink of greatness as a quarterback, but the way he plays is very high risk that results in throwing interceptions, taking sacks, and in this case unfortunately, sustaining a concussion. He is not going to last long enough to win another Super Bowl if he doesn’t change the way he plays.
I truly hope and pray that he is okay and will be fully healthy for the playoffs. However, I also strongly believe that if he is not healthy, they need to let Byron Leftwich start.

I hope Ben still has enough sense in him to allow Byron to start if he himself is not 100% ready to go. I want the quarterback that’s 100%

unfortunately
I don’t think that would happen. He frequently plays when he’s not 100%. It’s part of the no-guts-no-glory mindset that makes him so much fun to watch. It also leads to recklessness and wreckfulness.

I think he will be fine
Troy has launched himself like a rocket into peoples heads and survived. Ben didnt get killed that bad. He wasnt out cold. He was moving on the ground.
Not to downplay but I think that he will be just fine. They have 2 weeks to kill.

most official thing I've heard yet
All tests are negative and they are optimistic he will be ready to go in 2 weeks

As much as I support Ben
Lord Byron can play, and until Ben fixes up some of his game, Leftwich may be, may be, an upgrade. His release is faster and he throws the ball incredibly fast, as fast as I’ve seen in the NFL in my lifetime.
To the tune of the classic children's song "This Old Man" (the part with nick nack patty whack)

i agree that
Ben needs to sit if hes not 105% healthy. But I don’t like our chances if Leftwich starts. The guy has one speed and one speed only, bullet fast. He has 0 touch. His wind up is way too slow. I’m not saying we can’t win with him, but I personally don’t like our chances.

ESPN
This is ESPN’s take on the matter. Its more of the same, but helpful never the less… It seems he is expected to be ready come game time.

Leftwich
I will be the first one to say that Leftwich has played solid when he gets in there, but have we all forgotten the QB from Jacksonville that often looked highly ineffective?
When the game is on the line i would rather see Ben in there. I have some confidence in Byron, i just don`t see him getting it done in the playoffs.
