Sunday weather vs. The Daftest Cowed Boys
The storm that brewed in Foxboro last weekend has inexplicably swung southeast, bringing Hurricane Harrison, Tornado Timmons and, uh, High Dew Point Woodley! Woo-haa!
Seriously, this could be good for the home team. For Sunday, it looks like a low of 21, a high of 30, with wind and a 40 percent chance of snow/rain showers
We got used to frigid, wet conditions last week. Any word on the field conditions? They were supposed to lay some new sod down, last I heard.
Welcome to the north-side boys.

hey jerry!
you and your cowboys cant hide in your temperature controlled dome anymore. hehe. I hope it’s dumping rain and snow and the steelers just crush them in a pitt style victory

lol true
yeah socal, its like a half dome with a permanent hole in it. either way it doesn’t snow in TX and it doesn’t get cold and there is no mud and no grass, etc. Essentially a dome but every now and then a nasty draft might come in.

Southwest technically
But yes I was praying for bad weather. We’ve basically been undefeated in it in recent times.
Thinking back, you start with the Cleveland monsoon, we had the Chargers/Bengals games in snow, and then also this recent pats game.

w00t
The Cowboys running game is hurting with Barber banged up and Jones on IR. Tashard Choice isn’t a bad option, but he’s not a threat to carry this team. Romo has a fumbling problem to begin with and he still has his broken pinky, so the more bad weather, the more bad passes and fumbles from him. Their defense isn’t great against the run and we just got our running game going, so I like that matchup.

Ike's big challenge
If i’m correct he’ll be the one shadowing TO correct? He’s done a great job the past games. Think he can handle TO? Ike needs to get into his head early in the game. TO isn’t a mentally tough person. Remember that locker room scene? “That’s my quarter-back!!!” sob sob. lol

I’m sure there will be significant help over the top. Their running game doesn’t scare me much, but Owens, Williams, and Witten do,

We'll hit him a lot
And that seriously rattles receivers like him.

Hes just a bulkier Randy Moss
He cries like Moss, he plays well under good conditions like moss, but give him a tough time and he disappears.
Weve stopped TO before. I dont see why we wont again. We dont get burned. Randy Moss was getting slapped around by us all game and he couldnt handle it. TO will do the same thing.
And Safety help WILL be present. With their lousy backfield situation, we should never have to put a Safety in the box. So TO will likely see good double zone coverage all game.

The difference
…between TO and Randy Moss is that if you chuck at the line Moss and get him out of his timing, he gives up on the play.. I don’t think there is a DB in teh league who has the combination of size and strength needed to do that to TO. You nee to be that tall to get leverage on your chuck or you’ll end up with your center of gravity rolling the wrong direction.
Ike’s our best bet, and I imagine he’ll be on TO most of the day, but we’ll also see a lot of safety help, and probably middle zone coverage to get a LB on the inside routes to keep TO to the edge.
Guns don't kill people. Lamar Woodley kills people.

There was an SI article about Shawn Springs playing press coverage on TO and shutting him down. Sounds like that is the way to neutralize him. I’ll see if I can find the link.

1st Redskins Game
idk about the last one, didn’t watch it but I know everyone has to remember how frustrated TO was when the Redskins got in his chin strap and bumped him at every legal oppurtunity. I believe he did nothing that game and was pissed off and whined about not getting the ball even though they tried giving him the ball like 18 times but was just shut down so being physical with TO looks like it can easily work and make the Cowboys implode.

if you underestimate our backup rb
you’re in for a world of hurt. Tashard Choice is a player dude, you’ll see on Sunday.
And an 80% Marion the Barbarian is better than 90% of the backs in the league.

doesn't matter
at this point it doesn’t matter who you put back there, they are not running on this defense. we have seen the biggest, we have seen some fast ones. we have seen the most balanced ones. There is not going to be a running game. The only way to slice and dice our D with a RB is to throw to him, screens and flat routes. Draw plays usually work too tho.

You could put jesus in there
And he wont break 75 yards.
Trust me, you keep telling yourself you got the run game. It honestly doesnt matter.
NE’s numbers were inflated as they used a draw play like 3 times for 75 yards. Granted it was effective, but last I check we still rank #1 against the run, and the pats lost.
We’ve had LT stop in, we’ve seen Clinton Portis, we spent time with Brian Westbrook, we had a visit from Brandon Jacobs, had dinner with Willis McGayhee, an afternoon snack with Steve Slaton, and a 2-some with Fred Taylor and MJD.
Find me one of those guys who cracked a hundred on our team.

Jesus did try running on the Steelers; the newspaper headlines the following day all read “Jesus Gets Nailed – needs a few days rest before returning”

Got to Get to Romo
Even great Steeler defenses in recent past have been susceptible to getting picked apart by a passing game when a highly rated QB has had time to survey the field. If this D wants to be the best ever to put on a black and gold jersey, then they have to get to Romo early and often on Sunday. They’ve succeeded a couple of times already (Rivers, Cassell, Manning) but they face an even better O this weekend.

Getting to Romo
If we could get to Cassel who has a better line than the Cowboys, i think we should be able to get to Romo a few times. Romo with time can be deadly, but the Pitt D has put pressure on pretty much everyone so far. Once the running game gets stuffed, (which it will) Romo will be back there like a sitting duck.
