Tom Brady gone for 09?
So a NBC Boston report said that Tom Brady has complications with the knee still. They Said both ligaments are "loose" and that would require additional surgery.
They also commented there is scar tissue that may need removed.
His infection however DID clear up.
The other thing they noted was he has really low strength in his quads.
God, I have to say while I appreciate your use of karma to teach people not to cheat, I think he learned his lesson. You can lay off now :)
All I know is the moment he went down I said to my TV that he is done for good and the Pats are no more. Looks like it could be quite possible.

My gut feeling
is that even if he does return for the 2009 season, or part of it, he will not be the same quarterback he was before the injury. After that type of injury plus all the complications the knee will not be the same. Unfortunately for him, being a very smart and intellectual player doesn’t totally eliminate the need to have some degree of mobility. I would have liked to see our defense of this year go against him though, to see just exactly how good we are against a great QB like him. Maybe we will have a rematch against the Colts and the “other best QB in the league”

Agreed..
I really really doubt he could come back as the same quarterback after sustaining an injury of that degree. I feel like it was my fault. I always wished under my breath serious injury on him. I could never stand that pretty boy shit eating grin inside that helmet! : ) Sorry if I had anything to do with that! : /

Yeah
Personally I didnt think he would be able to play great again after this year. Now I figured he WOULD be back. But hey maybe not.
And Cdsumm, you are not alone. I many times debated using a sniper rifle to exterminate him.
I wish him teh best with his baby mommas.

Pats Lineage
No kidding, the genius sticker fell off a few shiny boxes this year…. Belichek is damn good though. Makes you wonder how good the rest of his staff is without him?
That said, talent makes for great coaches and Weis for one is working with 2nd level talent all over the roster. ND will never be great unless the admissions standards are lowered. It’s Stanford vs USC virtually every week for them, and we all know miracles are few and far between.

brady made Bill
Im sorry but Bill Belicheat was a loser with the Browns. Heck, even Romeo Crennel scrounged up a 10 win season with the Brownies.
Belicheck was no genius when he played us this year. Bottom line is him accidentally discovering Brady was the only thing that made him successful. If Bledsoe does not get hurt when he does I betcha they are lucky to have 1 super bowl.

+1
Don’t let the 11-5 fool you, they played a downy soft schedule this year and if you ever felt downy man is it soft, if you want to see how good Bill is without brady, let brady not come back next year when they face a much tougher schedule. Then we’ll see how much of a genius he is, I’m just glad they didn’t make the playoffs so you don’t have to hear, “we didn’t have brady and we still made the playoffs” talk.

some douche pats fan was running his mouth at the bar
while Ben was on the turf Sunday talking about “too bad it wasn’t a windshield” or something stupid like that while I’m sitting there in my Franco jersey. Normally I only talk schmack on the internet where there is no chance of getting beat up, but when he said that I turned around and told him “shut your mouth. there’s nothing funny about our QB getting carted off the field” and he totally choked on his words and apologized. I think he had a flashback to week one.
F him and the horse he rode in on. I hope brady’s leg get’s gangreen and falls off.* Cheater. There’s a good chance belicheat will trade him now that he’s jacked up and the pats have found a decent replacement.
*there is one small part of me deep down that feels guilty for getting my #2 secret football wish this year. It’s small though.

I think pro football takes a hit
with Brady being out. I can`t stand the Pats. I think they had an unfair advantage against us in that AFC championship game a few years ago. Joey Porter has`t forgotten. He still bitches about it constantly. I just think despite of my dislike for the guy, the league is missing out on arguably the greatest QB to ever play the game. I have mixed feeling on this because him being out of course helps our chances, but i would still rather see our top ranked defense face Brady again and see what happens. (Without Anthony Smith this time).
Brady and the Pats are kinda like Notre Dame to me. You may hate them, but football is just more fun when they are relevant.

Hopefully they lose McDaniel....
Wouldn’t that be great? What are the chances that Belicheat hits a home run AGAIN with an offensive coordinator? Things are starting to turn against the Pats……….karma is a truly stabilizing universal force. My hope is that Brady does get back……it’ll make beating them much more enjoyable than our win earlier this year. I just hope that enough doubt is created by Brady’s knee that Belicheat doesn’t get the chance to turn nothing (Cassel) into gold (like another 1st round draft pick).

I do have to agree
To the point that football benefits from Brady’s presence. I mean, its sorta like how Tiger Woods left this year to rehab his knee and now all these unknowns can win all of a sudden.
But still, shit happens you know. Brady is 30 and his prime is over. He had a great run. Shame he couldnt keep his hands perfectly clean cause I think that will linger with him.

Nah football is just fine...
without the Pats* being relevant – at least as long as Becheat* is up there. They stank it up for years and I was just fine with that.
Besides the cheating though, I can’t stand the smugness that seems to seep from that team like rush hour smog. Not to say they weren’t successful at it, but I don’t care for the pass pass pass mentality either. I do agree that it would be good to see the Steelers crush the golden boy again though.
