NFL Draft Points

Fellow Steeler fans I was just speculating on the possibility of the Steelers trading down in order to  get extra draft picks.  This is especially true if there are no good value "best available athletes" in positions desired and another team wants to move up.  What I'm trying to get at is, what is the value for their first round pick (#23) in the draft vs other positions.  I know there is some sort of point system given for each number in each round.
I've used various search engines and can't find this data.  Does anyone know either a site or the method to determine these values.  Appreciate your help!

i was wondering the same thing
i last heard Atlanta really likes B.Brohmn from L'ville...what would it cost Atlanta for our #23 ...2 second round picks? plus a third?...if we had 3 second round picks that would be great...

Draft value chart
Below is a link to a draft value chart.

Pick 23 is worth 760 points.

If we traded down with Atlanta to 34, that is worth 560 points.  If Atlanta also gave up their 1st pick in the 3rd round, pick 68 is worth 250 points.

We would still owe Atlanta our 4th round draft pick, number 123, worth 49 points, for an even trade.

That would give us 2 second rounders, two third rounders, a fifth rounder, and a sixth rounder.

Sounds good, where do we sign?
I'd rather get Pollack than Cherelius anyway since we MAY have Starks who spotted at LT pretty well last year.

Pollack, Rachal, Avril, Red or beer truck?

Could we get three of these four with 2 2nds and 2 3rds?

I'm gettin' giddy thinkin' 'bout it.

Brohm
Everything I've heard has him solidly in the second round. Have you heard that he is moving back up the boards?

Brohm
He may be a second round talent but the falcons could get concerned a team will jump ahead of them to grab him late round 1 or early round 2.

They could stay at 34 and pick the best of the "second tier" QB's (if they don't take Ryan #3) but if they really want Brohmn and they get wind another team is trying to jump ahead of them, we could be a viable trade partner with them.

I know someone had posted this possibility on an earlier post and I think it would be great for us...

That's true
If they really think he's the real deal, they could get nervous.

Seattle interested in Brian Brohm
Although Seattle has greater needs, they have a quarterback who is in his mid 30s. Atlanta may want to jump a couple spots ahead of Seattle to make sure they get Brohm.  That would be fine with me, and hopefully with the Steelers.

There's a situation
that would make it likely. Again, I think it would be a question of how much they like one particular QB, or do they think Brohm=Henne=Flacco=Ainge?
