Chad Johnson
I know we do not have much money or willing to trade anyone for this head case. But i want to see how many of you out there would take a chance on someone like a Chad Johnson who is a head case? Before you make up your mind chew on this really quick. Both Owens and Moss have been head cases in the past but changed big time under new coaching and Management. We generally get rid of players like them (plex), rather than dealing with them. But do you think a Tomlin could make someone like a C. Johnson a team player?
also here C. Johnsons stats hes no number 2 teir WR hes among the Best of the Best.
In 7 seasons hes racked up 8365 yards with 49 TD
in the past 6 hes been over the 1000 yard mark every year. blazing speed as well as always playing never injured. started all 16 games in the past 6 years. NOw what you think

No
- This franchise doesn't have a history of taking on guys with 'questionable' characters, they have a history of letting them walk. Ocho Cinco is QUESTIONABLE in every sense of the term. We've seen him 'give up' in games (just ask Anthony Smith) and we've watched him put himself before the team. In no way, shape, or form would he make it as a Steeler. Can anyone imagine him and Hines getting along?
- Who moves to a non-starting role? Holmes needs to be on the field every single play and as much as I like Ward, I don't think he'd except an back-up role (especially if he's backing up Johnson). Not to mention that Ward would be the most expensive backup WR in the history of the NFL (over 7 million in 08 and over 8 million in 09). And if you think that Chad's coming to Pittsburgh to be the #3 receiver, then I've got some ocean front property to sell you in the DFW area.

No to Johnson or Owens
Moss is different, he is an unbelievable talent. One of the best ever. He just wanted to be on a good team. I would take him but no to Johnson or Owens. He isn't cocky like the other two. Not too mention Moss is ten times better than the other two. Moss single handedly made the pats 16-0 last year. Owens and Johnson can't do that. Moss needs double covered every single play or he will beat you, sometimes even tripled.
Thats all.

i dunno
I'd love to see Hines, Johnson and Santonio, plus Heath and FWP as weapons. Hines would keep his mouth in check.
That might be heresy from me, but if we could get him for .30 cents on the dollar, I don't know why we wouldnt even consider it.

dont get me wrong
Just from a purely business standpoint, I don't think you can overlook any transaction where you get a commodity for pennies on the dollar.

This is probably gonna be laughed at
Paying him "his share" and winning would be all it would take to 'keep him in line' so to speak, and I think he'd be a great addition to any franchise that could provide him those things.
Let me close by saying I HATE those players who only think of themselves and throw little hissy fits over the stupid stuff-Randy Moss and To come to mind, as does Roidney Harrison, among others.

There are always
How would you like running deep patterns as fast as you can only to turn around and see your QB sacked, or the ball going the other way? If I was in his position Id only play some of the time too. His "mooning" thing also was blown out of proportion in Minnesota.
The celebrations I think are stupid. Johnson just wants attention. You can have fun like Ward does by getting popped in the mouth and get up and laugh at the guy who did it. That is fun. Yes I know Ward has done some celebrations, but those were mainly mocking Owens and Johnson I believe.
Saying if Palmer didn't get injured they would of won the Super Bowl is something I don't want on the team. Not too mention his head is not always in the game. 4th down, catches the ball before the 1st down marker and goes out of bounds on his own?

wow
Gotta say, sometimes you've gotta cut the dead weight, but apparently they think they can make Chad play, and play well enough to keep around.

heard that
I mean come on who on our current roster would you not trade two first round picks? Ben is the only one that I could say absolutely not. I can't think of another guy who is worth more than two first rounders.

no cj, ever
I would still not say that Moss and TO have become upstanding citizens. Both have been tempered by winning circumstances and there is certainly a chance they could blow up if the teams start losing.
And honestly, I hate rooting for guys who shovel discontent on their franchise or need special motivation to play football. Nor do I think the Steelers need him.

spoken perfectly
Why would we need a guy who has to be on a winning team to play hard? Since when has that become the standard? Talent doesn’t mean squat if the player doesn’t have the heart to go with it. Moss is great, but what if his team starts losing? TO, Chad, Moss – they are all alike, can’t take it when the team is not winning. No no no no no no to CJ.
