Lots of incredible catches. Loooong strides as a runner too.

Sweed

Well, he’s got the best push-off on the team, that’s for sure.

Sweed Looks like a young Plax

After watching some videos he looks eerily similar to Plax. If he plays like him at the next level, watch out! It’s first and goal at the 8 yard line with a 3 WR set (Ward, Holmes, Sweed), Heath Miller lines up at TE and Mendenhall in a single back set. You’re a D-Coordinator, what do you do? If you’re B. Arians you pick a matchup and abuse it! I would bet our Offense will be in the top 5 in the NFL this year.

Plax measurables coming out of college:
Height: 6.5.06, Weight: 233, 40 time on MSU pro day: 4.56, Vert: 33inch, Broad Jump: 9’7"

Sweed measurables:
Height: 6.4.06, Weight: 212, 40 time at the Combine: 4.48 (4.5 at his pro day), Vert: 35inch at combine (37.5inch at his pro day), Broad Jump: 10’8"

These are just numbers, but when you factor these in with his production at Texas and the above YouTube videos showing his receiving skills: catches with hands, goes up for the ball, good body control, good concentration, ability to adjust.

I think we just robbed the bank at pick #53.
