Meet the Youngest Steelers Fan in the World

I was away nearly all of last week because my wife and I welcomed eight pound two ounce Gracie Golden into the world. She's exactly a week old in these pics. She was born on the 7th at 3:36 pm and we're glad to say she's a healthy little girl (other than a small bout with jaundice). Needless to say, I'm trying to start her out right...

Yea she's a girl but her cheerleader suit hasn't come it yet, so I couldn't resist.

I feel inferior right now.

I didn’t include any exclamation points in my original comment while the other commenters included 4, 5, and 3 respectively. Please don’t interpret this as a lack of enthusiasm or support on my part.

I will compensate by adding two additional exclamation points.

of course I am

but it’s hard enough to get a girl interested in a single football team much less dedicated enough to follow two teams religiously.

golden

Writes the AZ blog on the network at www.revengeofthebirds.com

It’s somewhat our secret that he loves the Steelers more than the Cards, but let’s not leak that to his growing reader base :)

Remember to tell her

In the middle of the night that silence is Golden.

Congratulations Golden!!!!!

Your life has just gotten richer by a million fold. Wouldn’t it be nice if you could look back and say that she was born in a championship year?

Congrats to your wife as well.

Many congratulations!

Good to see a brand-new steelers fan, especially here in the heart of Cow-country. Keep meaning to say that we should have a DFW-area BTSC meetup during a game this fall… :)

I be all for that

I didn’t know that there were any other DFW residents on Curtain, but I’d certainly be interested it setting something up.

Congratulations and a warning...

Coming into the thread a little late, but wanted to pass on congratulations for your family!

I remember my little girl’s first Steeler’s attire well. She got a little infant set for Christmas when she was about 3 months old. Mom dressed her up for a proud Dad the night we played the Patriots in the Championship game for the 2004 season. Sometime in the first quarter Mom had to go change her, which of course meant pulling of the little Steeler Socks and so on…..

Mom came downstaris with a worried look on her face. In her hurry to get back to the game she had accidentally grabbed and used one of the Steeler socks – thinking it was a baby wipe (it was white in her defense).

To this day I’m sure that was an ill omen, of course you know how the game turned out. Hope your little one has better luck!

Congrats again!

LOL

I’ll certainly be as careful as I can, great story and welcome to BTSC.

Thanks for the welcome…This place feels like home.

Btw, one other dad and daughter moment – with a better ending: I’ve been overseas for about 15 years and needless to say they aren’t that big on football in Europe. This summer we were messing around watching a few of the European Championships for soccer. After the whole thing was over I asked my daughter what we should watch now…expecting to have to watch maybe a Dora episode, and she said we should watch the Steelers.

Some might call it brainwashing, but in this family we call it good parenting.
