DUDE

I just received a mobile Update stating that Brett Farve wants to come back to GB.  Can anyone find that source if its true.  Because that would in my opinion make me think less of Brett acting like a Woman when it comes to decide on things.  But before i make that judgment i was wondering if anyone here heard or can find source that this information i got on my phone is in fact correct.

After 30 seconds on Google...

...I found it’s being “reported” by ESPN’s Chris Mortensen. Whether it’s actually true, though, is a different story.

Research, dude. Research.

err, I should say...

...whether he’ll actually come back is a different story.

Brett wants to play and I want a million dollars. Neither really make a damn bit of difference, practically speaking.

lol I do, research but i was on

the road and on my Blackberry.. I have BTSC as my home page and I posted it right away because i was hoping someone would have it to me faster than the blackberry can load google lol. But research is very important agreed Mr. HinesField

lol

No way we’ve seen the last of him. Never believed he was ready to retire.

Well

I thought that the Packers’ FO basically said that if he wanted to come back at any point, they would let him. But, I can also understand them being resistant to it at this point. They’ve been working so hard to prepare Rodgers. If he really pushed it, where would he go if the Packers chose to release him? Any speculation?

12.5

Dude is set to make 12.5 mil this year. That is a lot of bones.

by feworker on Jul 2, 2008 6:34 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

hehe

No joke. 12.5 million reasons to come back.

yup ESPN

its on ESPN’s NFL breaking news…I knew Farve couldn’t stay away and who could blame him…In my opinion he’s still got miles left in the tank, and should by all means come back to play. I respect Farve a great deal for his toughness and Gunslinging style…In my mind Big Ben is the spitting image of him…

Talent wise that is

Ben looks nothing like Farve in facial features but if he doesn’t have a career-ending or Hampering injury he could end his career much longer down the road, the only difference I see is that Ben may have more Superbowl Rings when he hangs up the cleats…

poor poor Rodgers

Somewhere he’s in the fetal position in the dark corner, tears streaming down his face.

by cgolden on Jul 2, 2008 7:27 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Yeah, that would be a bitter pill. But, on the bright side, it would only be another year or two at the most.

not all that bad a deal

I mean, hey, he collects another couple million bucks to keep his joints and ligaments in tact and hold a clipboard. At this rate, he’ll have a cool $10 mil or so without having ever really felt the wrath of a blitzing NFL LB.

Rumor?

Favre has been reported as saying it’s all rumor and no substance. I’ll believe it when I see a QB not numbered ‘4’ under center the first week.

by Chicago Steeler on Jul 3, 2008 10:51 AM EDT reply actions   0 recs

he said it was all a rumor BUT

If you read his comments, he never says “there’s no true to it” or “I’m not coming back” all he says is that “it’s all rumor” and that there’s “no reason” for a big media frenzy.

Anyone think Aaron Rodgers is fed up with the ‘Favre comeback story:’

“I don’t feel I need to sell myself to the fans,” he said in the article. “They need to get on board now or keep their mouths shut.”

Rodgers

I like that guy. He’s had a really funny attitude about it from day one. Did you hear the story where he kept getting texts the day Favre retired “ESPN.com is reporting that Favre’s retiring!!!”

And it was like 6:00 am california time so he sent out a general text responding, “mybed.com is reporting it’s ass-early and I’m sleeping”

I hope he gets his chance this year. As a bears fan I’m concerned that he’s going to provide some new spark, i think he’s got a lot of potential.

No Kidding

I was thinking the same thing. Hey Brett, stop being so wishy-washy. If you’re going to retire then honor that decision. it seems like some of these mega superstars just need a lot of attention. Hey Brett you have a wife go get that kind of attention. If you know what I mean.

by C-Mac on Jul 3, 2008 11:04 AM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Actually, what he said was

“I’ll come back if Aaron get’s injured.” He has also said that he has that “itch” to play. Now is when you watch some rabid fan shoot Rodgers in the knee cap.

"Damnit mom! You almost ran over Greg Lloyd!"

at an autograph signing back in 95. He walked out in front of our minivan, and my mom almost hit him. He apologized.
