Injury Alert
They're dropping like flys...
The PPG is reporting that Limas Sweed may have a hamstring injury. He was carted off the field and his right leg was being iced down but the extent of the injury is not known. Sepulveda, Polamalu, Kemo, and now this. Looks like the injury bug is starting to bite a tad bit early this year. I don' t know Steeler Nation. Is it too early in the season to start worrying?

Gee whiz..
Everyday it’s someone new.
Let’s just pray we don’t wake up tomorrow and find out someone breaks/tears/pulls/hyperextends/etc. anything on their bodies..

Better now?
Maybe we should look at this yearly injury plague in terms of its better that these things happen now so maybe they won’t happen later in the season. I don’t know if I buy that though.
i think
everyone is overreacting, read about the camps around the leagues, tons of guys are getting minor strains and pulls….even guys who stayed in good shape get this when you go to two a day practices and people start hitting each other. heck, 20 years ago most these guys would play thru this tic tac stuff, but players and doctors are smarter about it now.

maybe
but today’s athlete is a different breed, with bigger, stronger muscles puttting more and more strain on ligaments and bones. Football has an ungodly number of injuries compared to other full-contact sports, like say, rugby.
which is weird,
but there my be good reasons why.
