4.24 in the 40-yard dash
Taylor always had the physical skills. He ran a 4.24 in the 40-yard dash this summer while training at Walt Disney's Wide World of Sports - a time that would make him the fastest player on the Steelers, not to mention one of the fastest in the NFL.
To put Taylor's performance in perspective, Tennessee rookie Chris Johnson clocked a 4.24 at the NFL Scouting Combine in February, the fastest time in combine history.
Now-retired Deion Sanders ran a 4.27 at the combine. Woodson was right behind Sanders at 4.28.
Wow, I knew Taylor was talented, but....Wow.
And apparently he did it with zero warmup. Steelers' Taylor eyes Hawaii

Makes You Wonder...
What would have happened had he been utilized in the pros at running back, like he was in college.

I didn't know he used to be an RB
his hands probably weren’t good enough
On Taylor however, I can’t understand why he keeps getting beat deep down the field by some receivers, he needs to play a little more consitently this year and hang on to int’s to make it to Honolulu
To the tune of the classic children's song "This Old Man" (the part with nick nack patty whack)
Big Snack, Silverback, take the Dawg Pound's Bone, the Black and Gold sent the Brownies crying home.

one of the best...
he could be one of the best in the league if he had better hands, but i like him, i hear he’s working on his hands so if he gets better at……Champ Baily, you have competition.

Ike
seems to get the INT in the playoff games. That is HUGE. That is when it really counts. Ike may not be Mel Blount but he is the best DB the Steelers currently have on the roster. I agree with HSS that his hands were probably not good enough to be a RB.
