Trap Game?
With the performance of last week still fresh in everyone's mind, ie the domination of the Steelers and the egg that the brownies laid, I feel this could potentially be a trap game for us.
The browns are still dangerous on offense, and even though their secondary is depleted, if the players are not focused, we could have a big let down here. Not to mention special teams where they are still very dangerous.
Any thoughts?

No way
the Steelers overlook the brownies. Division rival, veteran leaders hate Cleveland, we know they can hang 51 on Cincy a week after we whitewashed them last season, we know their offense can be very potent.
The Steelers seem to be highly motivated as a team without any external motivation – great veteran leadership, players capable of showing a lot, new players with a lot to prove, and coaching in Tomlin that seems to really bring out the best. He is regarded as a tremendous motivator, and I think its showing big time this season all ready.
All that being said, the old adage “on any given Sunday” applies as always, I just don’t see the Steeler’s overlooking this one or coming out flat.
GO STEELERS!

Hard to believe
With all the press going around this week, specifically the comments of the new one(MikeTomlin), i would find it hard to believe any STEELER is already putting this one in the win column..
Unfortunately we will have to wait until Sunday night to see if the talk was talk!!

not against the browns
this is one of the most fearsome, bitter rivalries in sports (despite the fact that we’ve won 9 straight). Steelers v Browns involves more than just football, it involves two cities with similar economies, mind frames, and struggles…and two fan bases that live and breathe for their team. if our guys, and theirs for that matter, can’t get up for this game…then they can’t get up for any game. you said it herewegosteelers “any given sunday,” and this is EXACTLY the kind of game where that cliche saying is derived from.

Browns
simply do not qualify for a trap game, nor do any other divisional opponent. Pittsburgh may have overlooked teams in the past, but never divisional games.

Disagree...
If this game was at Arizona or at Washington or a team like that, then you could have an argument. However, given that the Browns are a division foe, plus the fact that many ‘experts’ were crowning them division champs this year, i feel that the Steelers are very focused on this team.
That being said, the Browns are a talented team and have the potential to beat us if we let them. Especially with them playing at home. We are and have been the team to beat in the division and it seems we have gotten their best shot recently. It wouldn’t be a too much of an upset if they beat us. Don’t get me wrong, if we play Steeler football (read: PHYSICAL), play disciplined Special teams (Cribbs scares me), capitalize on their ailing secondary, we should win this decisively. I just won’t be shocked if its close in the 4th. (By close I mean within 1 score)
If we do end up losing, i don’t think it will be due to us overlooking them.
Agree with your disagree
ST needs to contain Cribbs. – that’s going to be vital. It’s just to easy for a team to get back into a game in the return phase. Fox and co. seem to be huge improvement for us, and hope to see more from those guys.
Also, I’m really looking forward to our D vs their line and seeing how much pressure we’ll bring on DA. I think he might unravel if we get to him early and often.
It’s hard to wait till late on Sunday though….I’m itching for the game.
I've been working on one...
this offseason, but unfortunately it won’t be ready by Sunday!
I am personally going to be keeping an eye on the secondary; Hopefully Troy will be able to finally show off some of the rewards of his workout routine.

If his regimen solely involves not getting injured this year I’ll be a happy man. He didn’t play amazingly last sunday, but did anyone see any problems? No? That’s fine with me.
he may have rung his own bell a bit when he tattooed Ahman Green early in the game.
