ESPN: Big Ben the NFL's heir apparent
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3594747
Scouts Inc.breaks down the current list of young quarter backs rising in the league and crowns Big Ben as the next Brady/Manning. Considering how under the radar the Steelers seem to run in national media, I was suprised when they chose him. Usually there's an unreasonable amount of hype for guys like Romo and Cutler, who have yet to deliver in any meaningful way.
Gratz, Benji. You deserve it!

Its about time
Ben gets some love. I agree that Romo hasnt done anything meaningful yet, and Cutler shouldnt even be in the conversation if you ask me. Rivers is garbage.

Matt Willliamson
he’s one of my favorite analysts, I hope he gets more air time here in Pittsburgh and more print time with ESPN. He’s one of the few analysts that actually watches all the games and knows what he is talking about.

Just wondering
…but I wouldn’t class Ben in with Romo and company… I mean, he’s helped his team to a Championship already. I don’t see him as up and coming…I see him as there already.

They included Eli in that list. I think their criteria was playing at the position for less than 5 years and being excellent.
Guns don't kill people. Lamar Woodley kills people.

Thanks
That makes more sense I suppose, but still see Ben (not biased or anything ;) ) as a legit great QB already.

Well
When you have your SB ring already and your numbers/statistics all range from number 1 to number 10 in NFL history, you usually are classified as a great QB.
Heck, havent seen it mentioned yet but Ben passed up the great Brady in career rating this year.
