Inactive vs. Texans
Just saw the list of inactive players, and there are some interesting names. Bruce Davis and Tony Hills are no surprise, and a bit less surprising, but still disappointing, is that Limas Sweed is also on the list. 3 of our top 4 picks aren't even good enough to be active on game day...not a good start for this year's draft class.
The biggest surprise, however, is that Anthony Smith is also inactive today. Guess that means we would use either Carter or Townsend to back up Clark. Think Tomlin is sending Smith a message after his over-aggressiveness during training camp? Could this mean that Smith's days in Pittsburgh are numbered? (I don't think we would get rid of him during the season, but maybe after?)

May be injured
Anyone know if he has an injury? Also, maybe they’re keeping him out because we have a lot of RBs (haven’t seen the list so I have no idea).

no rush
I think its just fine we had some guys on the inactive.. dont rush to judgement.. after the woodley/timmons show i feel fine about guys not making an impact there first year.. we are deep at receiver.. no problem sweed didnt play.. were not some dogshit team that needs him to produce this year.. we are money baby

Hmmm
I don’t know about that.. Dallas was nasty at Florida.. plus hes been on the practice squad.. and has great chemistry with Big Ben.. and if you do your research you will find that Dallas Baker is Percy Harvin’s Lawya (Shoutout to EDSBS)

well I hope so
cause right now, while Sweed is in the learning curve, it looks like Baker is no. 4

it takes recievers
awhile to get acclimated to the NFL. Not too many guys like Colston who come in right away and make much of a difference their rookie year.

There's a reason the coaching staff picked Baker as our #4...
They see every bit of practice every day and are able to see Baker and Sweed compete.
obviously Baker is the better reciever at the moment and probably alot more acclimated to the speed of the NFL.
Give it some time, we don’t even need Sweed to prodcue yet like someone said earlier in this thread.

The post-gazette doesn’t think a message was being sent to Smith. Apparently some people think that whenever we play a team with a solid return game he is going to sit out. Why? Madison and Woods on special teams.

Woods MUST be dressed on gameday!
…to play special teams. The guy is off the hook, and not a 40 second clock too soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
