Grab your shotgun. We're going bird hunting.
Ravens, Cardinals, Eagles. Three birds that can be dropped out of the sky with a little steel and lead. First up is the Ravens. Which, should be, without a doubt, our toughest game of the season. We came out of today's game better than we came into it. A screen door Offensive line? Not anymore. A sub-par running game? Hardly. A dingy and senseless QB? Nothing could be further from the truth. And to ice the cake, we came out without any significant injuries.
The Ravens on the other hand are beat up, sore, and not happy to go through Heinz field to get to the super bowl. We have an advantage here. We now know our identity. We know we won't Have to rely on our defense. We know Ben and his boys can get it done. If we can drop those crows we will have a chance to take down either the eagles or cardinals. I don't like thinking about facing the eagles in the SB. I keep hearing BB scream out in agony as he's slammed to the ground countless times. But, this is a different team than in week 2. We aren't to be pushed backward anymore. I can't see Ben being sacked as much if he's under the line that showed up today.
Here we go Steeler nation. Let's ride this glory to Tampa.

It will be WWIII
But understand, you haven’t beaten us up on the field anywhere as much as we did to you. You did win and make no mistake about it, EVERYONE in Baltimore wanted this game. Sure it would have been easier to go to sunny SoCal and punk the horrible Chargers, but you proved they didn’t belong on the same field as you. We had a war in Tennessee but did there what you couldn’t when the top seed was on the line. Perhaps you laid down because you didn’t want us in the second round? I doubt that, as both teams love this type of game, as they both play it the way it should be. Rough, tough, punches in the mouth until one side blinks. We expect the third time to be the charm, but I’m sure you’re thinking three strikes and yer out, right!?
The next week will be a great one and we can’t wait for redemption. Win this time and the past doesn’t matter to us. Beat us and hat’s off to ya! Either way, winner of this game is next SB Champ!

but who beaten up are you guys from that game in Tennessee last week? I saw numerous Ravens and Titans go down to injuries so how is that going?
BTW I didn’t see any injuries or heard of any from our side, everyone should be 100% besides those season enders.

vs. the Titans
While it’s true that the Ravens beat the Titans at home while the Steelers lost, it’s also true that the Ravens were mighty lucky to win the game considering that the Titans outgained you more than 2-to-1. If not for unlucky turnovers, the Ravens go down in defeat. Meanwhile, in the Steelers-Titans game, the Steelers were statistically the better team (more first downs, more yardage, better third-down efficiency, etc.) but suffered multiple turnovers that were the difference in the game. Now, the Ravens do seem to come up with more turnovers (INTs especially), but those appear to be relatively infrequent, somewhat random events for the best of teams, while stopping teams on third down is a bit more predictable. As long as those turnovers are distributed equally between the Steelers and Ravens (which they have been through the two prior games), then the Steelers should win, IMO.
As for the beating up comment, the conventional wisdom is that the Ravens hit harder but in the last game between the squads the Steelers emerged with no significant injuries while the Ravens had a couple. Certainly, going into this game, the Ravens are more beat up and likely less able (as a team) to inflict damage on the Steelers.
Finally, this third-time-charm or tough-to-win-three stuff is nonsense perpetuated by dim-wits who don’t know how to do math. The games are not serially correlated, much like flipping a coin, so there is nothing that causes one flip of heads to make the subsequent flip to come up tails. It’s always a 50-50 chance. I think the Steelers, given its home field advantage, fewer injuries coming out of the Divisional round, its more experienced quarterback, among other advantages, have better than a 50-50 chance of winning, and the last two victories only highlight (rather than detract) from this. May the best team on Sunday win!

Damnit. . .they're back. . .
Ravens fans- No I’m not thinking “3 strikes and your out,” I’m thinking that these are two evenly matched teams and that it’ll be a good game. I’m also thinking that the difference in this game is going to be QB play. And I’m thinking that I like having Big Ben. And no, the winner of this game is not the next SB Champ, the winner of this games gets to play in the SB.
Steelers fans- Whats the over/under on number of times MaLoR reminds us he’s a student at Miami this week?

Blood Bath III
This will be the toughest and hardest hitting game of the year.
The team that doesn’t turn it over and can get some offense will win the game. Both
defenses are Championship caliber.
On the BrownRavens side McClain is a 265 pound ox that can run against the Steelers if the BrownRavens stick to it.
On the Steelers side, Big Ben has been here before and has the confidence of
the 92 yard drive against Baltimore at game’s end in the last match up. Joe
Flacco is a rookie who has never been here before. While he has been stellar
all year and against Miami and the Terrible Towel stomping Titans, this is a
different story. This is a different team and a different time. It’s for all
the AFC marbles. Just go get the W. 3-2 Steelers!
