The Dream AFC championship
With 76 years in the NFL, the Steelers had make some of the best rivalries in this sport, we have Cleveland since ever, Dallas the best SB rivalry ever, Raiders another 70’s rivalry (They still can’t forget the immaculate reception), Bengals (they got us in the 80’s), Ravens the new century rivalry, the Patriots they had got our asses a few times.
So the polls are open place your vote, and if the Team is not there please add it in your comments.
My personal favorite is this one, just to be able to shut their big mouths and once and for all make clear who have the best D in this league.
Saludos a todos.
GO STEELERS!!!
P.S. I’m making a formal apology to all in BTSC, for my writing mistakes, specially with verbs.

a little more football
and a little less ray ray constantly talking. Let’s shut em’ up once and for all. We’ve had the toughest schedule in a long time. No reason to back down now.

decide what??
we’re the better team every step of the way, yall just get a chance to win the most important one!
but thats why NFL is great compared to NCAAFB. The past and a beauty contest means nothing.

Nothing scares me like having the Steelers have to play a team they've already beaten twice.
I wonder what it feels like to have to play a team that beat you twice in the season? Maybe you could tell us what that kind of fear feels like.

Perfect Match-up
I’m coming all the way from Montana for this game. I’ve been threatening for years that I was going to Pittsburgh and watch the Steelers. I can’t think of a better weekend than finally going to Heinz field and watching the Steelers face off against a true division rival.

Old Rivals / Dream(?) Match up
For about 5 years in the late 70’s and early 80’s, the Steelers and the Houston Oilers (Tenn Titans now) had some great games and produced their own intra-divisional rivalry. Old Bud Phillips declared circa 1979 that they had been “.. knocking at the door, but now we’re ready to kick it in!!” in reference to their challenge in beating the Steelers for the division title. Some great games then…. Earl Campbell, Dan Pastorini, Billy “White Shoes” Johnson and the gang vs the All World Steelers of the 70’s.
I guess it is a great match up, just wish I felt better about our chances of beating them.
I do believe the Steelers can beat the Ravens. I would prefer the feeling of crushing them like insects though…
As stated, shutting up Ray ‘I didn’t pull the trigger’ Lewis would be fantastic. Baltimore has played the Steelers tough for years and this game is going to be physical and for the SuperBowl – so it should be awesome. I agree that the game is a great rivalry match but it is tempered by the reality of beating a good team 3 times in a season. We own their ass this year but they get a “do over” of sorts….
That said, it is encouraging that a) Ravens offense struggled and b) some of their players are hobbled. I really don’t want other players to get hurt but I’ll take some bruises, sprains and pulled muscles vs the Ravens for sure.
A sound win would be a great leap into the SuperBowl and will make us the favorites.

Really?
Well, that could happen. Even if it does, our 2nd string QB can actually help win the game. Your anemic offense will struggle to move the ball for 4 quarters, then trudge off the field wondering what it would be like to play in the SuperBowl.
Right about the time Flacco and the offense start playing well, it’ll be 2011 and Ray-Ray and the Boyz from the Hood will be retiring or signing their last contracts somewhere else. About this time, you’ll be losing to the Steelers 35-20 instead of 23-10 like this weekend.

Not just a Dream Match Up....
This whole game will fill one of those ‘Bucket List’ things for me. Pittsburgh, the hated Ravens, AFC Championship, no clear winner until the final score, the football weather that only MEN can play in!!!
I remember all of those Steelers/Oilers matchups, they were great. Then the brief Bubby Brister days, Barry Foster in the 90’s… all of the other great recent history!
I believe that we need to hit Flaco hard and early. We may give up some big plays in the 1st Q, but hit him hard and by the 3rd he will be making the mistakes that will win us the game. And a blocking offensive line is always a nice thing.

"we need to hit Flaco hard and early"
I’d have no problem with us taking a flag on their first drive to really ring the unibrow’s bell.

I have a feeling I’m really not gonna like this guy as time goes by. Freakin’ Blue Hen.

Looks a lot like the raven on his hat.
Damn it this is serious business next Sunday. I’m gonna freak the F out!

is now two years. And please, put " two-time team MVP, two-time Pro Bowl starter, NFL All Pro, Steelers single-season sack leader, and NFL Defensive Player of the Year" by his name as well. But come February 1, you can just call him “Super Bowl Champion.”

Lets own the dirty birds
First of all, I hate all the aforementioned teams on said list, and they stank!
However the team that stanks more than the rest is the Dirty-Bird-Deserve to be in prison-Stanky Feathered-Purple Pansy- Ravens.
So much fun to shut up Ray Ray. I just love how him and Edward Reedicus miss tackles and get beat on jukes every game and it cracks me up. He makes a tackle on a 2 yard gain and hes jawing. Then next play he gets beat.

It kills me that Ray -Lew called his shot in the pre-game warm ups of 2008 round 1, then ended Mendenhalls season on a clean , ordinary hit. That being so, he is an official bad -ass. However ,it is time they shut up and go on home for a third time. This game is entirely up to our O-line. Our D will do their job, and Ben, Mewelde, Fwp and the rest of the skill people will go as far the line allows. If they play well we shouldnt have to squeek out a miracle, but if the parade of drive killing false starts, sacks and holding penalties continues its a toss up. First and 15 or 20 wont cut it this week, no weak Charger defense to rip up on third and long with 5 seconds to throw. And please Ben, just once, see that corner blitz coming.

He was crouched and waiting.
There is nothing cheap about blocking for a ball carrier you fool. He was running straight ahead and suggs was looking right at him. And instead of being a boss and pushing him down, he ducks and hides like the purple pansy that he is.

Gotta say I like his interviews when he’s not spouting off about Gods work or some BS. When he’s just being Ray talking to guys like Deoin Sanders or Michael Irvin (how much blow must they do and trouble must they get into down in South Beach!!!) I despise him less.
The playyers whos just so sick is Ed Reed. Havent really appreciated how freaking amazing he is until recently. Dude makes plays.

True, this is what he said about Big Ben..
“…He’s the ultimate competitor,” Lewis says. "He plays football the way old-school people play football — just make a play. It doesn’t have to be pretty, it doesn’t have to be drawn up, sit in the pocket and pass the ball like the conventional quarterback.
“He’s a football player. He’s going to go out and do anything to keep his team motivated and keep the chains moving, things like that. And that’s probably one of the greatest assets he has, is really keeping the play going…”

Ray Lewis is a scum bag fraud
anyone who brags about how religious they are and how they help rookies in the league and then brags about ending a rookie’s season is a hypocrite. Not that the idiot would even know what that word means. I want pay back for that and 2 wins isn’t enough.
Ravens fans, your team better bring it.

Yeah seriously hes a low class piece of trash that should be in the state penn.
You dont deliberately hurt players and if you do hurt one you certainly dont brag and cheer about it. Thats why the ravens lose this week.
God doesnt like assholes. God will handle the situation thusly that it shall be a victory for the team that represents the lord in the best way possible!

Can't wait
This past week, Pit won took control of their game, Balt. won in spite of themselves. Apologies to Ray Lewis, but we have better leaders, (Farrior, Hines, BB) andmore talent. If the Ravens don’t score on Defense, they can’t keep up with most good teams. I am looking forward to the 4th quarter of this game, when the Ravens defense looks tired, after being on the field forever, upset that their offense isn’t , well…, like ours, wondering what just happened to their season.
