McGahee leaves hospital, is OK

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/football/nfl/01/19/mcgahee.ap/index.html?eref=si_topstories

Good news, football fans!  Willis McGahee appears to have no serious damage from the scary hit he took from Ryan Clark yesterday. Despite leaving the field on a backboard, the player was released from the hospital after staying overnight for observation.

"It is expected that Willis will have a complete recovery from the head and neck injuries he suffered last night," Ravens spokesman Kevin Byrne said.

Despite the hard feelings between the two teams and between the respective fan bases, I for one am glad to see that McGahee has no permanent damage.

Great news

Clarks hit was clean and big, but you never want to see somebody get hurt. I was also impressed with Ben’s class – going over and checking on Maghee as if he was one of his own players.

Did anyone see this article??

http://blogs.suntimes.com/sportsprose/2009/01/steelers_choice_of_music_durin.html

I don’t know. The music did seem odd and even was commented on during the game thread, but I don’t think it’s quite the issue this reporter makes it out to be? thoughts??

Don’t they play music like that during any extended injury? I think I remember when Ben got rocked during the Browns’ game and was down for 13 minutes they played similar music and no one was offended. It’s impossible to keep everyone happy even if you tried… I don’t see an issue.

This makes me even happier about the hit.

We put the icing on the cake, and Willis is ok.

im just glad Clark went down too…because, it would have been a front page picture for years if he landed that shot and was able to stand over his victim…that would have been fuel for you guys…lol. glad everyone is okay and Willis said he never saw it coming and can’t remember it. he’s lucky.
