Is it me or does Limas Sweed hit harder then all the Raven's linebackers? Seeing his propensity to drop balls, maybe he can play opposite of Ike Taylor.
Speaking of the Ratbirds, they got what they deserved. A hard hitting game. I liked how Fart Scott got up celebrating the hit he put on Parker with the rest of the inmates. Uhm...Parker got up and kept playing so I guess it wasn't that big of a hit. I didn't see any Steelers celebrating after Ryan Clark's hit on McGayhee. Yeah, he was hurt, but doesn''t McGayhee come up limp on every other play, or is it just me?
I guess we'll never know who is the best Safety in the NFL since Ed Reed wasn't able to suit up for the game. At least I don't think he played cause I never heard his name.
So much for the unflappable Joe Flacco. Seriously, do we really want to see a Super Bowl where the team is afraid to throw the football? Talk about boring.
Was anyone really surprised that the Ratbirds came out throwing? I know the Steelers defense wasn't as they immediately dropped back into coverage. I know Flacco is the 2nd coming of Big Ben, but I didn't realize Cam Cameron was the 2nd coming of the Whiz!
What is it about the Steelers that grown men who don't even know each other are hugging one another after that Troy pick?

irony
Pure irony how much ed reed is talked up and when the big game hits, he is no where to be found and troy does what ed is praised so much for doing, getting a pick six……
ed took a lot of plays away from ben (ben’ admits) so its those type of changes that give ed his rep.. he’s not in a position to get on RB’s or blitz or take away slants and flat passes. he is strickly center field to prevent the 15 and over. with that said, the 2 positions are hard to compare. Maybe compare Troys game with Leonhards.
But, i agree that Ed waited for things to happen while Troy made things happen around the ball. Its the nature of the position but, as it turns out, Troy’s roll/play afftected the game a whole lot more. its just too bad that those who ed was protecting missed some major tackles. we looked like Puff-N-Stuff trying to get Moore/Parker at times. running into each other.
Yeah, I think it was just the hype surrounding Reed coming into this game that makes us bitter. Ben’s careful with the ball and keeps it away from Reed and his effect in the game is minimal. Whereas Troy can not be kept out of the play. Part of that is the system, Clark plays high so that Troy can roam, but even with that you have to give credit to a player that can not be schemed against.
