Bruce Arians musing...
I've just been thinking- the consensus around here seems to be that, tho Bruce Arians is a mediocre offensive coordinator, the Steelers will likely be saddled with him next season. The reasoning being, a successful assistant is hard to fire- a superbowl-winning assistant harder still- yet there is another way.
Could another team take him off our hands??
We got him from someone else; perhaps we could send him and his resume (along with Larry Flint Zierlen) to some other hapless, starry-eyed, team?
Any thoughts?

Not Likely
The problem is, for better or for worse, Bruce isn’t posturing as an Offensive Dynamo. No one is calling him “one of the best minds in the game.”
If anyone talks about the Steelers offense at all, it is always: A) The Offensive Line is horrible B) Ben is running for his life but somehow gets things done and C) The best the Steelers can hope for is that the play breaks down, or Ben goes no-huddle.
I don’t know if that is reality, but that is the perception. NO ONE wants that Offensive Co-Ordinator. Unlike our previous guys that are a who’s who list of Hot Prospects: Chan Gailey, Mike Mularky, Ken Whisenhunt… Scott is not seen as anything special.
And if the Rooney’s are anything, they are loyal. I can’t see anyone but Ariens next year,
