Who Do YOU hate? (chargers?)
Sorry to be a little off topic from the upcoming game against the Chargers but I was just wondering what everyone's hate list is looking like right now. Does anyone have the chargers on their list? Right now this is my list:
Baltimore
Dallas
New England
Tennessee (you all should know why)
Jacksonville
Cleveland
Cincinatti (only because of 05)
Now I know I am leaving off some notables and some old classic rivals aren't as high but i just started watching the steelers in 95 so i'm not that old school guy. BUT i see that we are 0-2 against the chargers in the postseason......is that enough to be put on a hate list somewhere?

I hated the Patriots because, well, I just hate their smugness…and I think you’d hate them too if they beat you in the playoffs and then a bunch of their players went to the middle of YOUR field and mocked the celebration of your best player over and over. I hate the Giants because of Eli Manning. Remember when he was in the draft and came out and said he’d refuse to play for the Chargers? We Charger fans don’t care much for that guy.

HAHA. Not me. That’s one of the reasons I don’t like the Broncos. When I was young my mom was a big Seahawks fan and from day 1 she hated Elway for that move. I always disliked him because of it. If you are really that good of a player, shouldn’t you embrace the challenge of going to a bad team? Look at what Matt Ryan did this year. The Chargers weren’t even that bad, and what had Eli Manning accomplished to that point?

I think as a player who hasn't played one snap in the NFL,
You should be honored to be drafted as a #1 pick, let alone the #1 pick in the entire draft. I think in both instances the decision was heavily influenced by both players’ fathers.

Actually, looking back at the '94 Chargers, it's rather sad.
I read recently that a 5th member of that SB team, Chris Mimms passed away on Oct. 15.

DOME STADIUMS—-This ain’t basketball!!! It was 2 degrees in Minnesota for their Wild Card game but everybody was wearing shirts and the Eagles players were holding a fan to their face because it was hot, Joe Buck said and I quote “It’s 2 degrees and these players are fanning themselves off, I can’t believe it” Its because THEY ARE IN A DOME YOU IDIOT!!! Sorry Dome Stadiums are for pretty-boy teams like the Cowboys!!
Patriots (hate Bellichik, and the restof that cheating-ass team)
Cowboys (any team T.O. is on)
Ravens (scaryiest team, but I respect Ed Reed)
Raiders( I live in Norcal and the Raider Nation is awful)

Raiders?
Does anyone here remember when the Steelers had a big rivalry with the Raiders? Back in the days of Ken “The Snake” Stabler, Dave “The Ghost” Casper, Otis Sistrunk, Gene Upshaw. Back when Madden was a coach and not a video game. The Steelers and Raiders met in the playoffs four times over five years (1972, 1974-1976). The first of those games ended with the Immaculate Reception; the last ended the Steelers drive for a third consecutive Super Bowl championship.
Remember Jack “the Assassin” Tatum, Lester “Stickum” Hayes, the Holy Roller? The Raiders were cheaters long before the Patriots turned on a camera. The Cowboys and Raiders used to be at the top of our hate list. But today, the Raiders are just pathetic. Poor, poor Raiders. No one even hates them any more.

I remember back then.
and if i were to take the time to come up with Jonny B.‘s sh*t list, they would be near the middle to top. Trust me. It’s just that the Cowboys are easier to hate. We hated them back then and they are still so hatable today. The Raiders, on the other hand, are kind of hard to hate right now. They are actually kind of pathetic.
We lossed to the Raiders the last time we played them. I was also the last time after suffered a concussion in ’06. They finished 2-14 and we finished 8-8 and 1 game from the #6 seed. That still has me a little sore
As far as the Raiders and cheating, they would definately try to gain any competitive advantage they could on you, but there is a big difference between them and the Patriots. The league had to adopt “The Holy Roller” rule and ban the use of stick em. There were already rules in place that the Patriots blatantly violated.
As a final note, I was happy at the time when the Raiders got screwed in “The Tuck Rule Game” in ’01. Knowing what I know now, however, I wish they would have won that game.

My reason
to hate the Chargers. I won’t add them to the normal hatred list, but that lose in the AFC championship cost us fans a lot more: History and bragging rights. That was the one for the thumb. That would have been the battle between the Steelers and SF for the 1st team to win 5 rings, and we did even get to play in the game. Well it is proof that the NFL is not fixed, because that was one of the best marketing ads to never happen.

We had our battle the next year
and we blew it. It’s not likely we would have beaten the 49ers that year. Of course, it was less likely we would have been blown out 49-26 either. Anyway, all that can be exorcised if we become the first team to win “one for the other thumb”, and it starts this Sunday against San Diego.

true
but the fight for the 1st to 5 really mattered to me. Would we have won, I don’t know. Though looking at both Steeler teams, I would take Foster over Morris, and a health Woodson or the one that refused IR with an acl tear.

I feel your pain. Believe me, but that was then and this is now. Here is our chance to erase those memories! The first to six. Believe it. Once that happens, it will be like 1980 all over again. We will be restored. Sit back and enjoy. No worries.

2. 3 rings they should have never gotten cheatriots think their so good and bill is such a genius, biggest bandwagon ever barf
3. Cowgirls, havent won a playoff game in 4,392 since they last won a playoff game and yet they still get considered the most talented team or preseason favorites to win the superbowl. how can you not hate that
4. What’s worse than getting dominated in a SB? Saying the refs cost you the game. I loved it when they came to Pitt and got wiped on the floor and I can’t wait till we go to their place and wipe the floor with them.
5. stomping on the towel is automatic hate list unless you’re just pathetic like the bungals
6. 0 SB apperances and they want to consider themselves equal to pitt – do it year in and year out then you get some respect
7. eli = most over rated QB in the league, slightly better than Tavaris Jackson and can’t run
8. great history here Madden still has nightmares of franco running down the field and always delegitimize the immaculate reception
9. How can a 3 time MVP Super bowl winning Qb be over- rated? When he also holds the record for most picks ever thrown. Go ahead and retire man you was good once but now you’re just annoying.
10. I know this is basketball but when I heard this i went what? Like lebron is a mass murderer, I mean he mad a dunk he didnt take a sub machine gun to a crowd of people. What on earth made this guy say this?
