Hey Guys and Gals - Out of Comish For A Bit
Wasn't able to get to the posts I had hoped to last night - without divulging much, I will hint that most of my evening was spent ironing out some preliminary kinks in a 120+ pages Steelers content only book, set to be released this summer for yalls enjoyment. More details to come but if you dont mind, steer the ship for the day.
Things to consider:
1) Steelers making their first playoff apperances
2) Bruce Arians game calling in prvious playoff games - CLE and PIT
3) Who might be playing last game as Steeler?
4) Playoff vs. regular season rituals for fans?
Check y'all later. Thanks for your patience and sorry for the bad timing.
I am so stoked for this game. Go Steelers!

your questions
1. I would just love to see them run a trick play with Dixon. Don’t know what the chances are, but it would be super exciting to see them try something innovative/unusual.
2. Making no predictions on BA – maybe he’ll at least try running out of the I a couple times to see if it works?
3. Hopefully Colon? ;)
don't stretch yourself too thin
lot of exciting football to watch
the New York Times has a great article on LeBeau here (free signup required):

This quote stands out:
Nose tackle Casey Hampton said: "He gets more mad if you hotdog and you show off. You make a mistake, he can deal with that. But you don’t have no class, you show up the other team — he don’t like that kind of stuff. If he gets on you, you really done did something."
Great shit...
As a fan, it’s cool to see that side of the NFL. Definitely rare these days and it’s part of the Steelers’ mystique and success. They are different as an organization than most of the teams.
As a coach, it is a reminder that even in this age of glamour and glitz over substance, there are young guys who still get it. The fact that players love the older men who continue to teach and influence them shows what is great about football – forget the X’s and O’s. Without true leadership, a team devolves into a disfunctional group of people or worse, a mob of malcontents.
