Cleveland Browns (1-4) @ Pittsburgh Steelers (3-2) - BTSC Week 6 Open Thread (1st Half)

This is what us fans would call a 'winnable game.' 1-4 Cleveland is heading to Heinz Field in what 'should' be the Steelers third straight victory. But the 2009 Pittsburgh Steelers haven't yet been able to piece together a full 60 minutes of football and put away a game. Will it happen tomorrow afternoon? I hope so. We'll see. Cleveland's coming off consecutive games they can feel pretty good about. Here's hoping that comes to an end tomorrow.

Go Steelers! Beat the Browns!

The right bars open early there, just saying.

Anyone know

of any good pay sites that are reliable. I don’t mind paying for a good reliable internet feed, but I am tired of having to run out to bars and watching on bad feeds that go dead every 20 minutes.

Which island are you on?

Before my flight took off from Honolulu, I ate at a steelers bar that was a local’s place. Dave’s and Busters also had all the games and if I remember correctly, games started a 7 AM there for the EST 1 pm games. At least you have the rest of the day to do stuff!

That sucks for us Ravens but hopefully that will mean some wins for you guys, so when we play each other the pressure will be that much higher, Good luck!

It's Polamalu

So glad to have him back. Also, eager/nervous to see how we fill in Smith’s absence, hopefully we’re better off than ’07.

A win today should put us in good position to take the Vikings into the bye. Roll Steelers roll!

And for Pete’s sake, can we please have a game with no injuries and no drops?

Ziggy Hood

If the Steelers are just CRUSHING today, I’d really love to see them get Hood a ton of reps out there. Beating the Vikings is going to be tough. They’ll need him and his youth to come at Peterson with 200%!!!

by Ragnar808 on Oct 18, 2009 10:30 AM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Who is starting in Smith's spot?

I expect Ziggy to get a lot of reps whether we are crushing or not.

Rumor from wexell

Is that kirschke plays till tired, no rotation. Don’t know if I buy it, but that’s what he said.

by SteelerBuddha on Oct 18, 2009 11:18 AM EDT via mobile up reply actions   0 recs

Yeah I don't know about that either

I’d like to see the rotation. More so next week than this week, since the Vikings have a punishing running game, it will be important to keep fresh legs out there.

Ziggy

based on the video of all Ziggy’s plays against Detroit, (thanks for putting that together Post Game Heroes) he is much better at rushing the QB. He was too easily blocked on running plays but that will improve with time. Hopefully the rotation will feature Ziggy on passing downs and Kirshke on running plays. I’m sure the Browns will test that side with the run early.

I hope to see more of Sweed and Wallace

These guys might be our future at WR. If we can get a good lead, Hines and Tone could use a break in the second half. It’s a long season.

Some short easy throws

to build up Sweed’s confidence maybe? Just get him used to the ball in his hands in a game situation.

that's something they need to clarify this offseason

Hines clearly had control while he was inbounds.

why overturn it if he bobbled it after sliding out?

That's a rule that should be changed

He had the ball through the play, two feet in bounds. Should be a TD

We should be except for

stupid NFL catch rules. I agree with the radio crew. You will have to carry the ball to your locker for it to be a catch soon.
