perdictions of upcoming next 3 ganes..
It is no sceret that we beat teams with a combined 4 wins and 18 losses!! we now have the vikes coming in, then a bye then to denver the home for cincy...do u think we will win all 3?? win the home games and lose to denver? Or, heaven forbid, lose all three? I watched the Denver game, and was totally surprised how the stopped Rivers in the 4th quarter..Rivers is a sitting duck back there..is he that immoblie? Is Denvers defense that good??? Or, are the chargers that bad? Can our line hold up the next 2 games? Can we run the ball against these opponents? Or, will the steelers FINALLY put an "A" together in ALL phases of the game...we cant give up any cheap points..we gave up 28cheap points so far this year...2 pick 6s, 1 kickoff return, and the strip against san diego..OH, BTW, for those who said I was a size "10"...I am a size 6!

I don’t want to get into predictions but I think they can win all these games… I firmly believe there is something to be said to, especially early in the season, playing at the level of competition… Maybe not as much in the NFL as compared to NCAA but still something… The Steelers have pieces that look great and others not so much. They still make some dumb mistakes and some of the turnovers are inexcusable… with that said, I do think they put it all together for these games… I think we’ll see an overall much better product on the field, a complete football team, win or lose…

We will win two.
.
The first one would seem to be hardest, except that undefeated teams have difficulty keeping focus in the mid season. I hope that Denver beats Baltimore for just that reason.
I think of the next two games as a guage for the rest of the season. The Vikes are like last year’s Ravens. A big test. Beating the Vikes would lead me to believe that the Steelers belong among the top 8 teams in the league. But beating Minnesota, and then winning at Denver would be another level entirely. It’s just hard to see how they could pass three big tests in a row. But if they can, there’s nothing they can’t do.

So many questions NYC, slow down... breathe (haha)...
I think we could win all three, but I could see us dropping all three too. The latter, in my opinion, is very unlikely.
As far as Rivers, he is not totally immobile, early on last night he had a few rollouts for completions, but no one is mistaking him for Vick back there, that’s for sure. In my opinion, he tends to become less mobile in key sitautions in games. When the pressure is on to make a play, he tends to sit still a little more (I wish I had examples, but that’s something I noticed from him last season). And at times, yes the Chargers are that bad. They are consistently inconsistent, and have been that way for about 5 years.
Denvers defence is good, but if/ when Brian Dawkins comes off the field, they lose a bit of intensity. I think that was the case midway through the game last night. Elvis Dumervil has turned himself into James Harrison Light out west, so he’s a concern too. Champ bailey is still kicking around, you can bet he’ll be ball hawking to the best of his abilities on Nov. 9. That’s a good D they’ve got, and they are only beginning to mesh.
Both our lines will have to be on point in the next few games, and on into the season of course. We will try and run, and I’m sure we will have some success, it all depends on when, and how commited we stay to the run in the face of adversity. Whether we put an “A” up all depends on the person grading. I don’t expect A’s across the board, and never do. There is no perfect game. And the 28 “cheap” points we gave up would be considered oppurtunistic points if we were the ones scoring them. The other teams field just as many professionals as we do, and deserve some credit when they make those plays. I’m thinking 2-1, but hoping for 3-0, you just never know.

Was it Gruden or Jaws?
That actually said “I know of no other QB in the league right now that handles pressure as well as Rivers.” Well, I guess Gruden knows QBs, after all he had a revolving door of superstars pass through TB.
As for any “perdictions”, its just gonna depend on which team shows up. Steelers can beat any of the three. Still don’t know if Clark plays in Denver but, that Denver team seemed to really struggle there with a team the Steelers dominated, regardless of the final score. Granted, they are division rivals and the Super Chargers were at home, so that tends to tighten things up, but, Ben was all over their D.
First thing’s first. PLEASE beat the Vikings on Sunday while I’m in house. Let’s all bow our heads.
The only managing Ben does is he manages to WIN games

Clark's problem was gallbladder(?)
Regardless, he had the offending piece of anatomy removed, so there shouldn’t be a problem with that.

Clark's problem was much more serious than a gallbladder...
He had an episode where his blood started to sickle, as a result of the high altitude, and it caused him to lose his spleen and gallbladder and actually almost killed him.

I don’t want to see Clark risk his life to play in Denver.
I’d rather lose that game.
One game for that high of a risk to your long term health. . . it’s not worth it.

Didn't watch much of the SD/Denver tilt...
What I did see though, was that there wasn’t a whole heck of a lot of difference between the two teams except in one area: pass protection. Orton could take all day to throw and Rivers couldn’t even set his feet. If the Steelers are going to get out of Denver with a win, the offensive line will have to keep improving in pass protection and Ben may have to generate some of those unbelievable escapes.
Really though, I’m just trying to look forward to this week’s game. Cincinnati isn’t even a thought and Denver wouldn’t be either if they hadn’t played a nationally televised game last night.

I think it is very possible to win all three. all will be tough games but I think we match up well with all three. I also don’t think it is a big secret that our two losses were as much a result of us beating ourselves because of performance breakdowns more than the Bears and Bengals beat us because of their exceptional play. Denver to me seems to be the toughest just because it is tough to win in denver. The advantage of altitude is not to be underestimated. Overall though it is too difficult to predict the next three games because a lot can happen in three games. I will start with the first one. I think we win a fairly high scoring game with both teams in the high 20’s to mid 30’s.

Denver is slowly answering question about them. It’s hard to tell how good they are, but at this point we know they’re not bad (like we all thought they’d be). I don’t know exactly what they do well on offense, but somehow they’re 9th in the league there, and their defense is somehow good again.
I’ll say we should beat them, but we shouldn’t take them lightly.

Careful...
When you call a kilt a skirt you insult thousands of years of proud Scotch heritige. Kilts aren’t just clothing, they’re the connection to the roots of an entire family and clan. There are very few things that irk me quite like using skirt to describe the physical representation of my lineage.
But, WV, it’s a common joke, so no worries, I’m used to it. Plus you have a picture of Owen Schmitt as your icon, and I like that. Carry on.

My bad on the Kilt joke
PixburghArn isn’t acceptable to talk about skirts for most cheerleaders, with the exception of some in hometown s few aren’t that great to look at.
