shouldn't have came to this

mendy gets a reprieve, should have been 20-10 or something, but he gots to learn to not fumble even though we won the game, got all bye week to work on it, I think we’ll beat denver

by tannofsteel84 on Oct 25, 2009 4:16 PM EDT reply actions

Yeah, but he's still a work in progress and is learning....

His fumble was an error of enthusiasm…of too much effort. He wasn’t dogging it, screwing around, or showboating.

Somebody said we don’t carry a lot of baggage. Let’s leave that one behind.

Mendy, outplayed Adrain Peterson for 3 quarters. He needs to keep learning and working. He wasn’t the only one who held the ball out loose – let it go and let him grow. He looked like the better back out there today until the fumble.

The D could hardly have been more clutch! I know it wasn’t pretty, but the Vikings are a Super Bowl-quality team, and we beat them.

As far as the O-line goes, they were playing against the top D-line in the league, and more than held their own. Mendy had plenty of holes opened up for him, Kemo showed good strength when he was pulling, and 3 sacks against the Vikes is not bad at all
