"Fast" Going Fast?
Missing: "Fast" Wiille Parker. Former contender for NFL rushing title. Once set Super Bowl record. Began season as starter for NFL champs.
Recent Sightings: Briefly spotted on field against Vikings, but after scampering six feet, disappeared from view.
Cut to 4th Quarter: Current starter R. Mendenhall pulled after fumbling while brilliantly diving over a pile in an effort to break the plane of the 4-yard-line. Parker still fails to appear. One M. Moore gets final carries.
Conclusion: Parker's salary this year: $4 million. Next year? Not so much.

Right!
My wife grabbed me an authentic throwback Parker jersey. I looked at it as I grabbed my Polamalu jersey and thought to myself that it was a shame that it was likely now retired. Think he can still play but it seems like he is being phased out.

Im gonna miss Willie...
In all honesty, he’d probably still be on the squad next year if not for his tendency to dance in the hole and turn 1st & 10 into 2nd &13 instead of at least 2nd & 8. Its still a long journey ahead and I’m sure Willie will get his opportunities to prove why he’s a champion before its all said and done this year.

I think that broken leg killed his career

he hasn't been the same since
I don’t think he is mentally over getting his leg broken. He seems to run away from contact not really trying to go between the tackles and flying through the hole and using speed to run away from guys
"Polamalu’s lineage can be traced through several roots. Chuck Norris mated with an Amazon Queen, and on the other side, Tony Hawk mated with Mother Nature. The two children of these spawned and fused in a tantric love session to create Troy Polamalu. The mother however died as he tore through the birth canal with a spin move."

He did a little plowing last week but he just isn’t the same. He did a lot of nice things for the Steelers and I think safe to say is much appreciated here for his efforts. He may still have some nice runs here and there but for the most part he is done here. No way they even try to sign him after the season.

Funny
Bummer about FWP, but the style of this posting made me laugh. Well done.

Let's not write off Willie yet.
The season is not quite at the half way point yet. He can still help us this year, even if it is just by spelling Mendy and Memo, so all our backs are fresher for the playoffs.

Moore is better
Last year, Moore had more yards per carry, is certainly more useful in the passing game and is a much better blocker in the backfield.
Parker was on the decline in 2007 (yards per carry dropping for second straight year) and his time has passed. Mendenhall and Moore give the Steelers a better chance to win than Parker.
