Harrison wins player of the month
From the Pittsburgh Steelers Official Website: Linebacker James Harrison has continued to wreak havoc on opposing offenses so far this season, picking up right where he left off last year when he won the NFL’s defensive player of the year.
Harrison’s efforts early on this year have earned him AFC defensive player of the month honors for October.
In four games in October Harrison has seven sacks, 25 tackles, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.
Harrison opened the month by sacking San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers twice, while adding three quarterback pressures. Harrison sacked Rivers in the fourth quarter, forcing a fumble which James Farrior recovered.
His flurry of sacks continued against Detroit, taking down Lions quarterback Dante Culpepper three times. Harrison forced Culpepper to fumble early on, but the Steelers didn’t come up with the recovery.
Harrison also was a thorn in the side of Vikings quarterback Brett Favre with two sacks and three quarterback hurries, while adding seven tackles.
This is Harrison's second player of the month award, winning it previously in November of 2007.

Harrison: a throwback to the great Steeler LBs
Woodley and Timmons are on their way, but Harrison and Farrior are the guys you think of when discussing the fraternity of great Steeler LBs. Harrison is an absolute beast; a guy that nobody can keep off of the QB without holding. Along with Troy, he’s the heart and soul of this defense.

LOL
I would come to your funeral and say a small prayer over the empty coffin. I don’t think they would find enough of you left to fill one.

He could be player of the month................
just based on the number of times he is held.

I was at Raymond James Stadium last light
in the corner where Deebo’s pick happened and I kept getting all emotional and envisioning him trucking down to the other endzone. It was making me crazy thinking about the legendary nature of #92.

At Deebo's current sack and forced fumble rate he is set to eclipse his numbers from last year!!!
8 sacks and 4 forced fumbles through 7 games
Totaled 16 sacks and 7 forced fumbles through 16 games last season
On pace for 17 sacks and 8.5 forced fumbles to end the season.
"Damnit mom! You almost ran over Greg Lloyd!"
at an autograph signing back in 95. He walked out in front of our minivan, and my mom almost hit him. He apologized.
