Hello Steeler Nation!
I am not sure if our site guru Sean will be here to share some info...I am sure he will...but I was talking with SteelerVT (if I recall) on a thread and he encouraged someone to come over to open a chat here. So, sorry in advance if someone else is already on this.
Although we have many upgrades over last year...hard not to have this...but from our games thus far I can only hope for a full 60mins against the Steelers. So far this year we have done well through the first half...being in the game vs the Saints going into the half...beating Minn at the half...beating Wash at the half...tied w/ Chicago at the half. But we have had our struggles in the second half. If the Lions can put out a full 60mins on Sunday, we could be right there in a competitive game. With the track record so far that is a big if. However, Jim Schwartz has done a great job in the HC role thus far, and I expect him to have corrected the fallout in the second half of games.
I have many friends who are Steeler Nation members...so here's hoping for a great game.
Aside from that, on behalf of my friends @ POD, thank you Steeler nation for travelling as well as you do & making this game a sell out to avoid the dreaded blackout.
If any of you have questions on players...I'd be happy to chat on them & shed some info. having said this...my intial thoughts are this...our strength vs the steelers i think is in our pass attack...mainly Calvin Johnson. My biggest worry for this side of the ball is your pass rush. Although our protection is much improved (we used to give you a run for most sacks given up) we are still vulnerable. Sorry to say you likely won't see Stafford out there. If he is, he had a slow start to the season, but is putting it together quickly. He has a cannon for an arm...making throws he has no businss making...but still has a lot to learn in terms of putting touch on the ball. Our new TE Pettigrew is a beast on the blocking, and week over week is showing more ability to get open downfield & make plays off the pass. On the flip side...we have shown the ability (minus four or five big runs, so our D is suceptable to the big run) to contain the run vs some good backs...AP under 100yds, Forte (take away two runs for 80yds & he was under 30yds all day. This is where I worry about a guy like Mendenhall (who I have been waiting on to have a breakout). He can bang it out with the best of them, but also has some big play ability. That will be key to the game. I am not so confident in our secondary so Ben should have a good day. We have an up and comer in Louis Delmas at safety, who flies around the field (was defensive rookie of the month is September). Our pass rush is improved, but it depends on the play calling which has changed week over week which is nice to finally see some gameplanning on both sides of the ball.

Welcome LondonLion!
Thanks for stopping by and giving us some of a Lions’ fans thought about our upcoming game.
Instead of my thoughts on the game, I wish to give you my thoughts on your franchise. I am glad to see you guys got Schwartz (and rid of Millen). Although I don’t think I understand why you would bring in a coach and then have him keep so many of the assistants from the previous staff.
Hiring a defensive coachas a head coach, in my opinion, is the fastest way to rebuild an organization. A good defense keeps you in games, keeps you competitive. You guys have tried it the offensive way and it has not worked….. WRs in the first round every year, Mike Martz (OC), Steve Mariucci et al.
Anyway, here is hoping you guys have it right (this time) and will soon be winning games and fighting for the division crown! Besides, Thanksgiving seems much more enjoyable when we get to see a good Lions’ team playing! I miss watching Barry Sanders running wild as I downed some turkey and stuffing! Although, thinking of Bettis and that coin toss does make me want to hurl! My feeling about Phil Luckett run deep and are not very nice!
Oh, just don’t start your winning ways or being to competitive this weekend.
Good Luck!
thanks!
Millen handcuffed this franchise for too long. Mooch would have been good had Millen not forced his hand in keeping Piano Fingers Joey Harrington. The new GM, Martin Mayhew has been, well I will wait til the end of the season, but has been a genious since taking over. Trading R WIlliams & Kitna to Dallas was very enjoyable!
The only assistant I am upset that was kept is Stan Kwan the Special Teams Coach…has done nothing for the team. Our Offensive Position Coaches have done well. Sam Gash has done wonders with our RB’s.
Schwartz has added much value, accountability & respect of the details to the team…right down to practicing lining up for the national anthem. He has been great & I think is sorely missed in Tenn.
As for this weekend…I expect a good first half. I think it comes down to which team shows up stronger for the second half.
I was at that game, dude
hate to say it here on a Steelers site, but Luckett did the right thing. Mr.Bettis tried calling both heads and tails.
Here’s to a competitive, injury-free game! Go Lions!
you do a better breakdown then I do
I type like crap too, my responses will be short and I’ll come across as a jerk. lol
Welcome LondonLion
nice to see you here, and good post….I have a question about who will be playing QB if Stafford is out. I’m sorry, but I don’t know as much about you guys as I should. It can’t be Harrington still, can it?
BTW, I agree with imike29, you guys made a great hire in Schwartz. Good point on Tennessee missing him. He will right the ship, for sure. Plus, you have a good young nucleus to build around. Good luck on Sunday, and the rest of the season!!

If Staff doesn't start
you will see Daunte Culpepper. The two basically tied through the preseason & the fanbase was very much split on who should start. Daunte came into camp in the best shape he’s been in since he came into the league. Dropped 30lbs and very patient. He has shown vet poise in making zero mistakes when he has been on the field. His only downfall as I have seen so far from him this year is his lack of being patient for the downfield reciever to open up. He is quick for the underneath stuff & to scamper for yds…which may work well vs your strong pass rush.
thanks LL
I should have known that, but thanks for clearing it up.

i'd love to see Staff out there
for his continued development…but rather protect that $72M knee right now :)
Who are his underneath targets typically? Has Pettigrew been catching that stuff this year (he seems to have done well recently), or more Williams and Bryant? If not, what has Pett’s role been besides beating up rushers? Does Pett role out as a receiver or does he usually block on his way to a route?
The underneath stuff has not been kind to us this year. While 30 pounds can make a difference, I have a hard time envisioning Daunte scampering for yards, call it previous-year bias. If he can’t get rid of the ball, he might die.
You sure Ike isn’t reacquainting himself with his fingers, he certainly doesn’t use them for catching. - Brian (DaBolts) on "Face Me Ike"
lots of questions...:)
underneath have typically been the rb’s & te’s. grew looked sloppy in his first games…but week over week has been getting more in tune. he missed most of the preseason due to quad injury, so really now is finally getting to full speed. our 3 & 4 receivers are northcutt & d williams (rookie out of penn state) who also may see some underneath and over the middle plays. Grew is versitile. Great run blocker…doesn’t have the breakout speed of an elite pass catching te…but last week as an example, he burned chitown on a te screen to pick up close to 40yds. big body, good hands, a beast to bring down. he hasn’t really blocked on his way to a route…but could certainly be effective especially with your rush.
CPepp…that has been my personal disappointment in him vs Staff. Sure Staff has made some mistakes, but he has also made some sweet plays happen that not many could or have the gonads to try. A lot of Lions fans were upset with Staff starting. I was not a Staff fan at the draft, but he won me over quickly. The consensus on Daunte is he could have started this year…and could have played very well. Last year I fully admit, he looked horrible…and as much as I hate his “rollin” thing…he had that big body rollin through the preseason. Like I said, I don’t know how much downfield you will see, but you will see a lot of underneath if CPepp starts.
You say he is a great run blocker, is he a great pass blocker as well? Given that Harrison is probably going to kill your LT, I think that will be more important. Even with an elite run-blocking TE, I don’t think your O-line will be able to open up running lanes.
I like the lions move playing Stafford. He hasn’t lit the world on fire, but he doesn’t exactly have a complete toolbox to work with. It seems every week he has improved, and that’s something. And hell, he won a game, which is better than any QB you had playing for you last year.
You sure Ike isn’t reacquainting himself with his fingers, he certainly doesn’t use them for catching. - Brian (DaBolts) on "Face Me Ike"
i have been impressed with the oline thus far
i didn’t want staff to start behind them all through the offseason…but they have done well. they opened up the minnesota wall for >100yds rushing so they couldn’t have done that bad! they are about the only other run defense that competes with the curtain.
personally, i have nightmares about the harrison – jeff backus matchup. to me the key to the game is how that match up goes. if harrison owns him…well i hope the play calling is like what was done to jared allen…run right over him. schwartz was a solid dc…he knows if any what the weakness of a blitzing defense can be. plus, foote i am sure can add some insight :)
i am now a full supporter of staff. stumbled out of the gates, but quickly picked himself up & has improved week over week. i hesitate greatly in doing this…but i liken him to a favre…a young favre…great arm…over confident in it sometimes & makes mistakes trying to squeek one in….but also can hit cj running a fly up the sideline in stride throwing a rope between two defenders. he has promise. he will throw picks. but he has the arm to take advantage of one of the top receivers in the league. if you have a 6’5" receiver that runs a 4.3, runs routes like he is 5’10 & has a 40"+ vertical…you better get the ball to him.
Only point of contention
The run right at him doesn’t work with Harrison. He’s a phenomal player against the run unlike Jared Allen who simply accumulates sacks.
by Chicago Steeler on Oct 9, 2009 4:52 PM EDT up reply actions
i know harrison is phenominal...hence the reason for the nightmares over him
i’d rather run at him then leave him unblocked & run the other way…he’s to quick…need blockers down on him…something anything…lol
I have heard that you all are confident with
the Calvin half of Johnsons & Johnson against Ike, but not so much with the Bryant half on Willie Gay. Is that your feeling toward these two matchups?
Also is Axle Foley still a Lions’ fan.
"A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty." - Winston Churchill
Johnson & Johnson
Calvin matches up well vs any corner in the league and most double teams for that matter. At the start of the season I was excited to see what Bryant had to offer. He was a disappointment through preseason & the first two games really. But has come into his own. I think the new town jitters are gone. He will be a solid contributor but I think he has the tougher of the two matchups. That being said, if you double up Calvin, Bryant will see some balls and he has much to prove. He will have the opportunity to prove, but we have been in search of a #2 to take the pressure off CJ. I hope its Bryant. Even if its not…as long as he can make 4-5 plays…watch for our TE’s. Pettrigrew is an up & coming beast & Heller has been more than capable. That will be enough to get Calvin open vs most D’s. Other than Calvin, the TE’s I’d say are the next weapon of choice coming out of last week & looking at CPepp starting. With CPepp in, you will also likely see more swing passes to KSmith out of the backfield.
I think that Calvin won’t be as open as you think. If past history is any indication (and I’m talking years), the steelers will be giving you anyone but Calvin all day long to throw to. Not that he won’t still pull in some catches, but I’ll just say that the chargers were talking up how ridiculously awesome Jackson has been all year. He had a very forgettable night last week.
You sure Ike isn’t reacquainting himself with his fingers, he certainly doesn’t use them for catching. - Brian (DaBolts) on "Face Me Ike"
sorry but you can't compare v jack & cj...c'mon seriously.
every team gives minimum double to calvin all day. he will still come down with 80+ yds. so far, linehan the OC, has done a great job managing the pass attack. using cj as a distraction but keeping him very involved in the game. slants…sideline outs/flies…posts…reverses & putting him in the backfield & fake dive/pitching to him. but that attention is what has opened up bryant in the last two weeks…and the te’s over the middle. we have great balance in the pass game. our run game put up >100yds vs williams wall in minnesota too. even if cj doesn’t pull down 80yds, if he distracts 2-3 players attention, it may be forgettable stat wise, but it will open up other playmakers. the only time our offense has looked bad is under constant pressure…and as i mentioned, that is my biggest worry vs steeler d.
If you really want me to I can compare him to Moss and a lot of other #1 receivers that were shut down. I wonder if CJ will come down with 80+ yards why he was held to 50 yards twice?
CJ will not distract 2-3 players. Detroit is going to have a very forgettable day on offense, I hate to break it to you. Going into this game I was much more concerned about your defense.
You sure Ike isn’t reacquainting himself with his fingers, he certainly doesn’t use them for catching. - Brian (DaBolts) on "Face Me Ike"
and that is the sign of two fans
i expect to have an opposing view. those games where he was held to 50yds…one was bryant’s breakout & the other i believe almost every receiver only had 3-4 touches & roughly the same yardage. if you don’t double him he will rip your secondary. but the bigger if…comes from the pass rush vs the oline. your zone blitz is what i truly worry about. if cj is only in man coverage…he will put up 130 + like he did in 3quarters vs the bears. they shifted coverage in the second half finally.
thats the beauty…many teams underestimate the offense…i hope your d does the same.
if cpepp starts…and i’ve seen here that the underneath is your exposure…you could see a lot of that.
going into the season, starting vs the saints, vikings, skins, bears, steelers & packers; i was prepared to start 0-6. but we have been competitive in each game…until the second half, which you can relate too. at the start of the year, i didn’t think we’d be this competitive…but even i have been surprised. i only hope we can put up 60mins of it.
i'll admit
there is the obvious on any given sunday…but i will be happy if we are there with the steelers in the fourth quarter.
remember, only a week ago you had the same record as the lions…and were really only one drive away from keeping it the same vs a solid pass attack.
We’re also one drive away each game from being 4-0. Woulda shoulda’s don’t count much.
You sure Ike isn’t reacquainting himself with his fingers, he certainly doesn’t use them for catching. - Brian (DaBolts) on "Face Me Ike"
That has far more to do with our inability to cover Gates than it does our ability to cover Jackson. Our defense tried everything imaginable to cover Gates but could not. Unfortunately for the lions, Gates only plays for one team.
You sure Ike isn’t reacquainting himself with his fingers, he certainly doesn’t use them for catching. - Brian (DaBolts) on "Face Me Ike"
true...but it shows
that a number one a true number one can get open vs your d no matter what you throw at him. v jack is not in the same league as a johnson/r moss/c johnson/l fitz
A. Johnson was held in check until gaining garbage yards in a laugher last year. L. Fitz was held more than in check until the prevent. R. moss was virtually useless. Any more WRs? How about T.O. and Plaxico, both dominated last year? I’m telling you what you don’t want to hear, that your #1 receiver is going to be smothered by Ike and a safety. CJs ability to open up other receivers should not be overlooked, neither should the fact that we won 4/5 of the games against similarly dominant receivers.
Gates is a tight-end, a position that has historically given the steelers fits. One of the first questions I asked was about Grew for a reason, but he is not in Gates league. CJ could have a great game, but it is historically unlikely. There is not an legitimate argument you can make otherwise.
The steelers also have had problems with RBs out of the backfield, but have crushed that this year. The TE is the main weak-link, and you just don’t have one that is very threatening to the steelers.
You sure Ike isn’t reacquainting himself with his fingers, he certainly doesn’t use them for catching. - Brian (DaBolts) on "Face Me Ike"
like i have admitted
i don’t expect the lions to walk all over the steelers…would i love to see it…absolutely. but i’d be happy to be standing there in the 4th quarter.
all of those mentioned also included having troy back there. he allows your front seven to move at will. t.o. & plax are not in the league of those i mentioned….anymore anyway. in order to shut cj down, i’m telling you, you can’t play man to man coverage on him. the only corner he has faced that has had any success against cj in man is woodsen. you will have to roll a safety overtop. that said, if that happens, yeah he may only come down with 50-60yds. but that opens up everyone else…and that is the beauty of having that number 1 guy…he opens up the field for everyone else. grew is no gates. could he be … sure. but right now, no way. but as i have mentioned, if you are rolling coverage over cj, grew will put up 60-70, bryant johnson will be active…and watch for k smith out of the back field. if there is one thing that linehan has brought to the lions it is the screens & underneath sneakiness.
but this is all provided your rush doesn’t kill us first. that will be the tell tale. IF the qb can get the ball to him.
cj smothered by ike & a safety
is fine by me…that is still a double team & that opens up the rest of the offense. my point was he will dominate if you only cover him in man. with a safety over the top, yeah, you may contain him to another 50yrd game…but…it will open up the rest of the offense. even with that…cj will still make some plays that make you go huh?!?!
He won't make any of them until the second half
"A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty." - Winston Churchill
even under a double team
you have to realize he still comes down with half of those. i will give you that his second half is likely bigger than the first half.
Not that it's going to happen but here's something else to think about
http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/pittsburghtrib/news/breaking/s_647263.html
"A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty." - Winston Churchill
that one has been on my mind a lot
if troy plays…your defense improves by 50%. it was his knee right? for a player like him who depends on his ability to fly around & thow his body around…a knee is nothing to mess with. players generally feel better about playing than coaches do. tomlin doesn’t seem to be one to get a guy back on the field too soon…i know he’s itching to get back out there & make his difference known…but i think/hope he stays out one more week
I just read that half of your defensive line is out (that sucks for you). Who will fill in and how screwed is your defense?
You sure Ike isn’t reacquainting himself with his fingers, he certainly doesn’t use them for catching. - Brian (DaBolts) on "Face Me Ike"
our dline
has been a rotation all year (injury & no one has really stepped up). aside from the secondary, that was and is one of the biggest concerns going through the offseason & into this year. there is size up the middle…grady jackson & sammie lee hill (rookie) are both 325+. landon cohen (benched 225 50 times in preseason) has had flashes, but nothing consistent. d end…there is speed in d white & j hunter & c avril. but none are top notch d lineman. what they have been good at is occupying olinemen & allowing the lb’s to play downhill. this is probably the strong point of our d. sims/foote/j peterson have done well. foote has been outstanding (thank you again). sims has been injured but his rookie fill in levy has now been rumored to be pushing for a starting role ongoing. j peterson, we are still waiting for him to show up. he’s played well at times…but has not brought the pass rush we were hoping for. our secondary, has played ok. great young safety in delmas. but no top flight corners showing up. will james & anthony henry have played well, philip buchanon has played well but is outplayed by will james. i think ben has a big game. our run d has been suprising…lost containment on a five or so runs…but other than that they have more than held their own.
Another fan stoked that we're traveling to take over their stadium...
… and he’s happy about it! I love it!!! :)

…I can only hope for a full 60mins…
I’ll drink to that. I too am hoping for a nice slobberknocker of a game… which the Steelers win. But it will be good to watch Foote back in action. And I think the whole Lions franchise is on the mend. Great news for future seasons.
cheers
i’m sure both teams would be happy with a full 60min effort. I think the team that shows up the most in the second half is the one that wins.
foote has been outstanding for us. many were worried about his transition out of the 3-4, but he has been great.
i still think we are a couple years out…but if we continue to draft & make moves like we have this year…we will continue to surprise many. but you can’t count on taking advantage of the cowboys & j jones every year can you?
It’s cool that Foote was able to transition so easily, he looks to be heaving a stellar year thus far.

i saw it a couple times in the last two weeks…at first i was what the heck is that…then i remembered…it was awesome to see in the honalulu blue!
I imagine Foote will be rearing to go. Seeing him get a sack would be so un-footelike.

i think he has two so far this year
he’s been in the backfield a lot, stopping runs. our dline hasn’t done much, but it has allowed the lbs to get into the backfield
I thought you guys played a 4-3? :)

You are describing your line a lot like one would describe a 3-4 line. Having a 4-3 line that opens holes to allow your LBs to make plays…not exactly a good 4-3 front.
You sure Ike isn’t reacquainting himself with his fingers, he certainly doesn’t use them for catching. - Brian (DaBolts) on "Face Me Ike"
IMO...and in IMO only...
i have thought the lions were moving to a 3-4 scheme…if not this year…for next…
aside from drafting the obvious oline (which has held their own) we really needed help on the dline…but you can only fix so many hole at once. the dline isn’t getting beaten down…but their aren’t winning the upfront battle as a normal 4-3 does. that said they are tying up the line which allows the lbs to fly around. that is part in parcel w/ the dc cunningham who loves his lb’s to play downhill.

As far as the run game goes
Do you see Lions DBs being even remotely physical enough to 1. get around the blocking of our WRs and TEs upfield and 2. being able to take a hit from Spindenhal with a head of steam?
by kick him in the head on Oct 9, 2009 1:38 PM EDT reply actions
great question
as it is and has been a huge strength of your d. the corners i’d say no. especially since you have arguably the best blocking wr in the league. but as i mentioned, aside from the 4th quarter vs adrian peterson, he was contained. if you take out his 4th quarter yds he was held to 50yds & 0tds. so, aside from the blocking your wr’s do…i’d say yes we can contain mendenhall. as much as i like mendenhall, he isn’t ap yet. but that is something we really haven’t faced yet & is a big advantage for you. that said, our lb’s have done a great job in getting upfield & making plays. we also have a young safety who has been stepping up & making plays. if mendenhall gets through the first line to where ward is blocking downfield…there could be big gains.
thanks again, LondonLion

Just for the record. Hes section 101, front row. Got em cheap too.
So hopefully he’s gonna be there for some Steeler Endzone celebration, although he’s kinda in the corner.
And I’m tellin him make some sorta sign shouting out to me in Peru!
London......
After reading through some of the posts, I must admit I am not overly worried about CJ either…. That is not to sy I think he will be shut out or not have a good day. It should be obvious that we are most concerned about athletic TEs and RBs catching stuff underneath, especially with Troy out of the line-up.
We have confidence in Ike, and if he could ever catch the ball he would be an all-pro and household name to anyone who follows the NFL. I (we) expect you to be just as confident in CJ too.
I believe any Steeler fan will agree with me, on 3rd and goal from the 2, we are all screaming COVER THE TE! We stuff runs well, we cover other teams top wideout well, it is just those pesky TEs!
and if Daunte starts
you will see a lot of dink & dunks. Staff is a downfield player. Daunte used to be, but seems to now go more with the vet poise, not taking the chances.
our te’s aren’t pro-bowl…but they are definately threats around the 10yd mark…k smith is the one you should worry about. he has vision of barry, runs like a turner…but catches out of the backfield like sproles…
You mean the 1 catch for 16 yards Sproles? Not too concerned, RBs just haven’t blazed out of the backfield this year against us. Chris Johnson…stuffed. Sproles…stuffed. Could happen, but I doubt it.

no i don't mean skat back style...
and i don’t expect him to run like mad…i am referencing his ability to catch on the swing pass & screens. san diego uses sproles as a wr almost out of the backfield. if daunte starts…look for a lot of short stuff to te’s & rb’s.
Um, we’ve stopped that too. Keep digging though.

i'm responding to the points made about weakness to the underneath
sure we don’t have probowlers there…but the underneath is Daunte’s m.o. from what i’ve seen out of him this year.
Will definitely concede that point.
You sure Ike isn’t reacquainting himself with his fingers, he certainly doesn’t use them for catching. - Brian (DaBolts) on "Face Me Ike"
and in case you haven't seen
i concede to yours about coverage on cj…i missed that you did say that there will be a safety rolled over top. that will slow him down. if he is in man…he went off on chicago for 130yrds in 3quarters (basically first half) before they “smartened” up & rolled zone coverage to help. lebeau is too smart to miss that one.
all i can say is i hope you don't have enough confidence in him to leave him in man to man coverage
you will have to roll a safety over
Thanks for coming out here, Londonlion
I had questions, but I’ve been busy with work all night and all day today. And likely all day tmw. :( I’ll try to catch up and read everyone’s comments after things settle down, like around 2 am. :/
Larry Foote
As a Lions fan, what is your opinion of what Larry has brought to your defense, and was he worth the signing?
definately woth the signing
he has added great leadership to the d. more importantly the desire to deliver for the fans of detroit & the city as a whole. he has brought intensity & pride. not to mention the stats…in that department he is leading the defense i believe too.
i am sure you are sad he is gone esp. now that timmons is showing perhaps he wasn’t ready to step up yet

Timmons backup Fox is just as good as Foote against the run and equally limited against the pass. Timmons brings versatility that Foote never had in coverage and pass-rushing ability, and our D has looked good to me the past two games.
We don’t miss Foote at all, but I can see why the Lions needed him.
You sure Ike isn’t reacquainting himself with his fingers, he certainly doesn’t use them for catching. - Brian (DaBolts) on "Face Me Ike"
I should say, I wish Foote was still on the team though.

why do you say that?
i know timmons has the ability…just surprised he hasn’t taken off…he looked every bit the stud last year
surprisingly…foote is showing the ability to get in the backfield for both run defense & pass rush this year. i agree on the coverage though…zone he hasn’t been too bad
I want Foote on the team because I like linebacker depth, the same reason I was surprised he left, because the steelers do as well. If Foote was on the team we’d have 6 quality linebackers, instead we only had 5. Timmons was out for two games, which left us with 4. One more injury there and we are in trouble, but paying $2.5 mil (or whatever it was) for a backup doesn’t make much sense I suppose.
Maybe your system is better for Foote. He always excelled at hitting RBs in the hole. He lacked the burst to get into the backfield on both run plays and pass plays consistently…though last year he was limited in terms of what he could do since he was out on third downs anyhow.

He definitely has made an impact...
This defense was so bad last year that any upgrade would do, but i really believe that the Detroit Lions linebacking corps is an outstanding one, its just that the D line is weak, hopefully with Julian Peterson taking reps at DE, Big Ben will have to work a little on Sunday.
How are you guys feeling about the whole Big Ben Monday Night Raw deal ? are the local media blowing it out of proportion ?
Whats up LondonLion ? Just wanted to show some support now that youre in Steeler country.

thanks, my fingers have been busy...
credit to these guys…they are as tough as the steel curtain…but the ones i have spoken too have their finger on the pulse of their team…its been fun talking lions
As long as Ben and the O-line keep killing teams, they can look forward to DX all they want.

LOL
The reason i was asking is because i live in Chicago and the media over here is just relentless. Brian Urlacher rarely talks to the Chicago media, he loves the national media though.

its exciting too to see the light at the end of the proverbial tunnel
its been a long time since i have had legit excitement over the progress & competitiveness of this team
Exactly
But with that being said, the Lions have to put together 60 minutes of football, when that happens, then there will be a lot of smiles on the faces of Lions fans.
Hey, where are all the Steelers fans at ?
Lets talk some football !

If the Lions only play for two quarters...
…and the Steelers play for three quarters, that makes us 50% better, right?
Just sayin’.
Nice to see you drop by
