WTF is up with offensive holding
Really, what is offensive holding, and why the conspiracy against Harrison. I watch a lot of NFL games, and no one is held like he is. The refs explained it in the preaseason, some arcane explaination about his feet need to be past the tackle. OK, that happend three times last night, and he was being choked and dragged down, but not one flag.
Without holding, the dude would have 30 sacks. I am really getting tired of NFL officiating

There was one flag
and it took a first down from the Broncos, but I saw holding where a guy was grabbed from behind and they didn’t call it. Once was on Carter’s INT. I agree, a lot of holding of Deebo.

Should see the Bengals Open Thread
Some Bengals loudmouths ran an open thread during last night’s game over at In the Jungle (or whatever the SB Nation sight is for them). Lots of whining that the Steelers hold all the time and never get called. Plus lots of “The Steelers will start cheapshotting soon.”
Probably just the venting of their knucklehead contingent.
Did you ...
..notice there no posts about the game after BB threw that red zone INT? They were raving enthusiastically about it and then the discussion ends and they start yapping about everything else under the sun LOL.

What do expect from Bungle fans?
Most are just whiners.

I wish we could play the Broncos every week. Their fans are so damn kind.

It's just the NFL
Watch elite pass rushers, especially edge rushers, from other teams. Holding is just called off the edge. I was up in arms last year about this same issue but this year I have been watching more games from around the league.
This problem isn’t unique to James Harrison. In fact, I think the holding calls have gotten better because they are becoming more consistent. The consistency comes from the fact that if you are a tackle you know you can hold an edge rusher as long as you don’t pull the jersey from completely behind (you can hold the jersey now if you are parallel to the guy at some angle) or flat out tackle the guy.
Specifically, I watched Denver play New England a couple weeks ago. Dumervil was held all day and it simply did not get called. I watched a Dallas game where DeMarcus Ware was held repeatedly. One call. This is the new NFL. The league want high scoring games and healthy QBs (i.e. no big blindside hits). One way to assure this is to consistently call holding in this manner.

Correction
I meant holding is just not called off the edge.

Why the need for this posting after this game?
Seriously. Are some of you not happy unless you are bitching about something?
Dude, holding is a serious issue against James the past two seasons and it is detracting against not just his ability, but our ability to shut down offenses completely, even in wins. This game was close for a long time (Denver controlled the first half actually) and if James isnt held on every play, that might not be the case. So yes, people are allowed to bring it up if they so chose.
People are allowed to be happy for wins, but a constructive post is good. It isnt like he said Tomlin sucks and needs to be fired. That would be ridiculous. Then we would know it was Malor Trolling.

What’s really annoying is seeing Deebo get tackled on his way to the qb every week. And it certainly is not pointless. This is a blog where we get to exalt our teams performance, whine about their short comings and inconsistencies and vent about unfair officiating. Maybe you could provide us all with a protocol for what is and isn’t ok to blog about so we don’t irritate you.
Let’s just start with this and then I will fill you in as they come to me. Oh, and complaining about the Steelers never getting any respect from the media. Another boring, pointless, annoying, and ultimately bullshit complaint.
why don’t you start your own blog? You can control the content and won’t have to put up with all the whining and bitching. Or, why not just refrain from reading posts and threads which “annoy” you, then you won’t have to bitch and whine about pointless blogging and we won’t have to blog around your posts. Easy right?
Fight nice boys.
It’s true. Men verbally spar much differently than women. Thanks for proving it.
When the tailgate drops, the BS stops. Shut up and play!
Not bitching, yet.
Dude, I just love Harrison and think it is a crime the way he is held.
If they did not start calling it in the Super Bowl, we may have lost it.
Officiating is my pet peeve. Now all recievers are becoming “defenseless”. you can’t hit them.
