Keisel The Diesel
Great article on Brett Keisel in the Pittsburgh Tribune this morning singing his praises for his 2009 performance thus far. Have to agree with Farrior's assessment that this is 99s best year since he joined the Steelers. In Aaron Smith's absence it is also HUGE of Brett to step up.
Always a big game player I will never forget Keisel's contributions on special teams as wedge buster early in his career. Then a couple big sacks at Denver in a HUGE AFCCG game victory in 2005 and his clinching recovery in XLIII cemented his status in Steelers lore. I was inspired to log on and vote for Brett Keisel for Pro Bowl honors. I am glad the Steelers extended him. Link below;

Thanks for the Article
I think he deserves the praise he is getting and more. I have always liked Kiesel and I think that he is underrated also.. I think he does deserve to go to the ProBowl, I have voted several times. There are a few on there that I think needs to go and that is why i voted and I agree with you guys the the sack celebration . its the best one this year. I think we will see more of it.

I got my 99 jersey
but it says Kirkland on the back (another of my favorite Steelers) come Christmas morning, momma better have me a 99 with Keisel on the back of it. That’s all i asked for this year. my kids are getting 92 (for my son) my 11 year old daughter has a 43 (that’s all she’ll wear) and my 5 year old girl wants Robo-Punter – she’s a soccer player what can we say. And momma wants a 92 like her baby boy.
sorry for turning this into my family’s Christmas list
LOVE KEISEL AND HIS SACK CELEBRATION

Get your five year old working on that kick strength...
Maybe the Steelers should cross gender lines when Skippy leaves. Can she tackle a returner? Haha.

I had a Kirkland jersey
But that thing was bad karma. Soon as I got it, the offense went in to the Kordell tailspin. Then Kirkland turned in to the black and gold version of Violet Beauregarde. Had to get rid of it.

The downside...
It would kinda suck if Kiesel made a pro bowl when Smith has deserved it numerous times since 2004. That won’t stop me from giving Kiesel my vote, but it’s an afterthought.

Love The Deisel
He’s got the motor of a 25 year old, and the instincts of a seasoned vet.
breathe in deep feel your heart beat, just to know that life's worth livin'. feel your feet on the earth, better love it while it's still here spinnin'.

I agree,
Looks very much like an archery stance, he looks like he lets go with his right hand at the end too.
Does anyone know if he hunts? He’s from Wyoming so I always assumed he did that because he’s a hunter.
Someone should ask him.

Wonder if Arians likes him
Let’s make Diesel a blocking TE.

In the Redzone
Sorry, clarification needed there. I’m thinking of using him the way NE once used Vrabel. When we get near the EZ, we send in Brett to serve as an extra TE. He’d be there primarily for blocking purposes, so we can release Heath across the goal line. Even now and then, toss the ball at him.
