another overtime loss
ok lets take stock here ...you have a guy starting at qb who was heading for the heisman until he hurt his knee two years ago. I saw him dismantle a mighty usc defense with his wits and his running. so what do we do for a whole game ? run it on first and second down with mendenhal and then try to make the kid pass . I'm sitting on a couch in LA and i could predict every play that the too scared to try anything steeler coaching staff was calling. you lose 3 overtime games and 4 or 5 4th quarter leads and sorry but it is coaching. We are loaded for bear we are the damn super bowl champs and we suck. I would have bet my house that the Arians staff would play the game they did today --notice i refer to the team as arians because i think tomlin has become an ineffectual mgr.jeezum you have a guy who can actually run the ball and we dont let him and lose again the kid played scared all night and thats on the coaching staff. 6/5 what a joke!

I would totally rec this
if it wasn’t an eyesore of grammar and punctuation mistakes. But it was a very predictable came that was called. You have a kid that can run. Run him! Ever since whiz left we’re not seeing nearly enough trick plays. Nothing but predictability and passing these days. Yes, yes I know we ran it a lot tonight but every run was almost right on cue. No Arians in 10’ please!!! That’s all I want for Christmas. :D
Bring a towel to the game. Black or gold or yellow. If you don't have one buy one, If you can't buy one, dye one!!!

Because you know
That mighty USC defense is completely comparable to the Ravens D. Running QB’s struggle in this league. Otherwise, Tim Tebow would be the guaranteed number 1 draft pick next year. The way Mendenhall was toting the rock today, I was quite comfortable with running the ball on first and second down. I wouldn’t be sending Dixon out to try and win a game of his arm. He did his job
you are wrong
dude i have watched a lot of football – if you are playing to not lose against a good team guess what you are going to lose . Mendenhall is fantastic so was Barry Sanders who I compare him with (except he has more power) but even he could not make Detroit win. The point is we have a kid who can run so if you are going to lose any way who cares if he gets whacked around and possibly hurt – at least give yourself a chance to win! So if you are comfy knowing what the play is before it is called (sitting on your couch somewhere) so were the Ravens who won a game they should have had no chance winning. We are the damn champs this team could be heading for dynasty status and there is no fire in the coaching staffs gut

mendenhall and barry...
mendenhall may be our best back since barry foster, but comparing him to barry sanders is laughable. other than that totally bunk comparision i feel exactly the same as you do, dixon shows a few glimpses of playing well in play action and running situations and they put him in predicatable passing scenarios on third downs consistantly with the totally vanilla play calls. it was painful to watch, almost as bad as pitching it to m.moore on third and 2 in the KC OT situation. just retarded

the only joke
is that the Steelers were forced to start their 3rd string QB. We took it to overtime @ ravens. I am pretty happy with the performance. Seriously, you actually expected a win last night? That’s crazy. It really is.
BTW, Mendy’s performance last night was the best Steelers rusher I’ve seen against Baltimore in a LONG time!

I'm not crushed
but I did expect us to win last night

Happy!!
You are happy with a loss? we are the champs -we are way more talented than the teams we are losing to, including the Ravens, and yeah I saw Dixon play in college and expected to win – i expected the staff to be smart enough to let the kid play to his strengths. 3 overtime losses 4 4th quarter lead losses I miss Cowhers… we are playing way below out talent level and its on Tomlin.
Jack Lambert would have beat the crap out of someone after the first cincy loss and these guys would have been too scared to lose again.

whatever man I've already driven myself half insane and back
I have a new job and I need to keep it together and not sulk all day. It makes me sick that we’ve lost to the bengals twice and the freakin chiefs left us for dead. It’s actually making me physically ill. I have to look for positives. And I said I was happy with the performance, not the result. The ravens get paid too and last I checked they hate us and needed the win MORE than we did and it was at their home. Did you check the news at all before the game? The Steelers were on their 3rd string QB and 2nd left guard in a game against the Ravens! They found out on Saturday with one practice left! Learn about how the NFL works. Winning records and championships don’t just come about because people got mad enough. Rage is a weakness. In fact that’s how Hines screws with the ravens.

new job?
Well this is all fantasy not real life so I would be sure to laugh about it with your co workers or they will think you are wound a little too tightly. After tonight’s weird loss you have to say that it’s just not our year—no fault of Ben’s by the way.
I still say we are losing games we should be winning it’s like we expect teams to roll over for us…
