Sunday games open thread
So, here it is. Sunday. We finally get to watch some footy footy football. Yeah, Steelers-Broncos isn't until tomorrow, but at least we can watch the Bungholes and Ratbirds kick the crap out of each other. That, and maybe the Phins-Pats game are the only ones that really caught my interest today. Oh, the Cowgirls-Iggles game tonight might be pretty good, and the Cards-Bears game could prove to be awesome, but that's about it.
On a wishful thinking standpoint, I hope The Texans can upset the Baltimore Colts. Yes, I know, Indy...whatever. Also, I would LOVE to see Joey Porter wipe that smug, prissy little grin off girly-man Brady's face. I really can't imagine anyone, besides a Pats fan, that likes Brady. Anybody else see where Bille-cheat said he would trade anyone on the Pats roster, except Tommy-Boy? As if he didn't have a monster ego already...yeesh.
Anyway, enough of my rant. Onward to football!!!
Happy blogging, gents! I'll throw a poll on here, just for shnitzengiggle since I'm bored, and there's no Steelers game today.

Lets go Bengals
After Ray Ray the Murderer’s little rant on NFL network I saw this morning, I’m all for the Bengals beating the tar out of the Ravens. Hopefully, that will take all their mojo away for our meeting in a few weeks.
I still hope for a tie though. That would be excellent to have two divisional opponents tie.
Ryan Clark remarked that Coach Tomlin once asked whether he wanted to be the nail in the defense, or the hammer. "I said, 'I want to be the hammer coach.'"
What was said?
Anything interesting? Don’t bother wasting your time if it was just a brainless, macho crap.
Maybe its just Ray
But he went on about how he doesn’t have to respect anyone, but they should respect him. He laughed when Faulk mentioned Pitt had dominated the division. Said the Bengals were flakes, etc etc.
I just hate the man, and any feelings about divisional records and rankings go out the window when he opens his mouth.
Ryan Clark remarked that Coach Tomlin once asked whether he wanted to be the nail in the defense, or the hammer. "I said, 'I want to be the hammer coach.'"
Don't hate
just because your team is getting their asses handed to them by the Bungholes. Shouldn’t you be over on your own blog crying about Ngata not playing?

WHOOO! Cincy quick 6!
Ryan Clark remarked that Coach Tomlin once asked whether he wanted to be the nail in the defense, or the hammer. "I said, 'I want to be the hammer coach.'"
They are ordinary.
At least this year. Their defense is OLD. Everyone knows it, which is why Ray has been playing with such fury. He knows he has next to no chance in a year or two to win another SB.
Ryan Clark remarked that Coach Tomlin once asked whether he wanted to be the nail in the defense, or the hammer. "I said, 'I want to be the hammer coach.'"
Explain how the Ravens defense is old when their average age on the defense actually went down this year?
You have to hate losing more than you love winning.
Your veterans are old
Ryan Clark remarked that Coach Tomlin once asked whether he wanted to be the nail in the defense, or the hammer. "I said, 'I want to be the hammer coach.'"
Harrison, Polamalu, Woodley
Are all still top of their game. Tell me Ray and Reed aren’t looking old today.
BTW, why are you HERE of all places. Are you a masochist?
Ryan Clark remarked that Coach Tomlin once asked whether he wanted to be the nail in the defense, or the hammer. "I said, 'I want to be the hammer coach.'"
Since I'm a classy guy
I wont say anything about that interception.

Its because its such a rare thing. They need to milk it for all its worth.

Huzzah for the Bungles.
Big heads next week, and the Ravens are demoralized to last a season.
I want some kind of Ray cam, so I can his reaction to this shellacking. Favorite picture was the one were he was walking out of Heinz last year with his hat and briefcase, shoulders and head hung low.
Ryan Clark remarked that Coach Tomlin once asked whether he wanted to be the nail in the defense, or the hammer. "I said, 'I want to be the hammer coach.'"
Oh come now
Its ALWAYS fun to watch the Ratbirds get pwned this hard, no matter whose doing it.
The Bengals will be big headed next week. This is a good thing.
Ryan Clark remarked that Coach Tomlin once asked whether he wanted to be the nail in the defense, or the hammer. "I said, 'I want to be the hammer coach.'"
Except another week of that whodey idiot
I can’t put up with him. He doesn’t even talk football just spouts bs.
Pain is temporary pride is forever
Next week, we get him off this site for good.
But god this week is going to be brutal. I’ll spend some time perfecting the technology to choke people through the internet, hopefully I’ll be done before next week.
Ryan Clark remarked that Coach Tomlin once asked whether he wanted to be the nail in the defense, or the hammer. "I said, 'I want to be the hammer coach.'"
Please teach me Master
I will be a good padawan of the yellow and black side of the force.
Pain is temporary pride is forever
I will teach you
But you must promise to never use it for good. Only evil.

True dat
Except another week of that whodey idiot
I can definitely handle MaLoR’s BS after a Ratbirds win (after all, MaLoR is a closet Steelers fan). WhoDey is just a sad little kid.

Yeah
I screw with him alot, but I think he would be fun to have a beer with. I can’t believe I just said that about a rival teams fan…What’s wrong with me?

Nothing
Its like you said he is a closet Steeler fan and only roots for the ratbirds because he goes to school there

Football. Football. Football. Football.
Guess I do talk football. But I cant resist from this.

I think after this they might begin to roll over.
If we beat them once, they will be rolled completely.

But it was worse then normal
Because it has to be spread to two people. I would rather catch ours early.

How the hell did we lose to the Bears? I honestly don’t get it.

Troy was hurt
I put that game on Carters half-assed attempt to break up the second TD pass. Which Troy WOULD HAVE DONE.

All I did was say fail on a missed kick. Then you went crazy like a little child who just had his toy pulled away from him. Good god dude, it’s just a football game.

Wayne QBing for Indy?
Sure he made a couple passes (and apparently one Int.), but that removes two pro bowlers from their position. I was following the game online, so, was there an injury I missed?
I was shocked, as the Colts did this when down by 4 in the 4th quarter with 5 minutes left.
Incidently, the Colts put Manning back in when they got to the Texan 9 yard line.
The box score I am looking at says he had one pass. My assumption was it was a backward latteral from Peyton and then he threw it down field.

Ochopainintheass
anyone else getting a little tired of his constant joking around like that? I like a good joke too, but c’mon. Enough already jackass.
When the tailgate drops, the BS stops. Shut up and play!
I dislike Chad
But I don’t mind him doing that shit. For a league that has gotten so strict about everything, it is nice to see the occasional joking around.

Were you guys seriously rooting for the Bengals?
We needed the Ravens to beat them. It would’ve been a plus if they could’ve banged them up a little too.
They did bang them up. Chris Henry broke his forearm didn’t he? Also, I wasn’t really rooting for either team. I hate em both.

That's one injury.
I wanted them to come out of that game hurting. I’d rather have to deal with Henry than Benson at this point.
by StoneColdSteel on Nov 8, 2009 9:20 PM EST up reply actions
Yes, because our run defense has shown it just gets absolutely creamed by backs?
You sure Ike isn’t reacquainting himself with his fingers, he certainly doesn’t use them for catching. - Brian (DaBolts) on "Face Me Ike"
Well Benson did have a 4.8 average against us earlier this year

There is no question that Benson contributes to the bengals ability to win against us, but Benson is not a back we need to “gameplan” around.

I would. I’d hope our plan is to shutdown Benson and make Carson beat us with his arm. He has not exactly been the most mobile QB since the injury. And since our pass rush has gotten much better since than I’d expect better results.

Travis K. and Aaron are both out
So you can understand why I don’t wan’t to face a team with a good power running game. I’m not saying that teams will start running all over us now, but we might be more susceptible to big runs.

Go Iggles!!!
I have nothing but hate for the Cowgirls.

Bengals looked good today, but the Ratbirds really sucked.
I expected Cincy to continue their inconsistent ways and choke this week at home against the Ravens. But it was the Ravens who choked and especially Flacco. He threw some horrible-looking passes and he should have had at least 2 more picks than the 2 he threw.
Carson Palmer has been playing very well the past few weeks. So the Bengals and their long-suffering fans clearly have the illusion that they’re headed for the Super Bowl this year. Only one problem: they’ll need to prove it at Heinz Field next Sunday.
I agree
The Ravens looked pretty bad on offense. If Ray Rice were to get injured, they would have no source of offense. Flacco is good, but he has no one to throw to; which results in him forcing so many throws.
And as much as I hate the Bengals, they are winning the right way. Playing hard-nosed defense, running the ball at will, and avoiding turnovers is really paying off for them. As of right now, they are legit.
