Pittsburgh Steelers (5-2) @ Denver Broncos (6-1) - Week 9 Open Thread (2nd Half)

Well, it wasn't pretty but through one half, the Steelers are right where they need to be, ahead 7-3. They'll get the ball first to start the second half. The stories through one half was the lack of offensive plays for Pittsburgh, thanks in part to a defense that has given up a decent amount of yardage without breaking; the crucial mistake by Kyle Orton that led to a pick six by Tyrone Carter; and the advantage the Steelers have had in the punting game.

Let's Go Steelers!

I hope we come out swinging this time.

We need better looks on offense to start with. It seems like we are in the same 2 formations over and over. Either singleback or gun with slot receivers.

Take the leash off Ben and let him call from the no huddle. It is the only way we are going to get anything from this defense.

Nice job taking care of business in Denver

Looks like next week is shaping up to be quite the match up. Too bad New England is playing Indianapolis on Sunday night.

See you in 6 days!

Carter, Kiesel, Hoke, Hood, Fox....

“The standard of expectations does not change.”

Four defensive starters out, and yet they give up ZERO first downs rushing and pick three.

I would kill everyone in this room for a drop of sweet beer.

I'm Matt Millen and I would trade Troy Polamalu for a first round pick

and then select a wide receiver…
