Unleash Hell?

Looks like the only hell that was unleased by Tomlin and his Steelers has been on us the fans.  I actually cannot remember the last time I sat and watched a game just knowing the Steelers were going to lose with NO chance to win.  Their O & D was horrible.  To allow a 1 win team to beat you is disgusting.  The Browns beat us like they owned us and the Steelers could do nothing but stand by and get their hydes handed to them.

8 sacks.  EIGHT got damn sacks!  WTF?  Are you kidding me?  Now the Browns are the best D in the league?  Not to mention the Browns clipped off their longest run (37 yards) of the season against us last night also.

Well done Tomlin.......... THANKS for unleasing hell on us, the fans!

The worst part about the 8 sacks is that the Browns a bunch of LBs and DEs on IR and a bunch who were out for the game. However, when your QB is holding on to the ball for a full minute in the back field sacks are bound to happen even if you are playing a HS team. I saw this game coming, so I was not super upset. If you are hanging on the edge though, I’d take a break for the next 10 days.

I think I was most suprised by the empty back-field sets

If we’re telegraphing what’s coming so blatantly, it makes defending it a little easier. And if the guys aren’t open, then toss it away already.
I didn’t think they ran enough, even though it wasn’t super effective I felt they should have stuck to it. How about play action? Do we even have that in our playbook?

PLAY ACTION

You said it. This is what I think…..I think Tomlin told Arians they need to run more. Arians doesn’t like to run the ball so when he adds the run he never thinks about playaction because it’s not used much in his system. Why? because he doesn’t run the ball.

So it looks to me Tomlin demanded more runs and Arians just kept his gameplan with more runs sprinkled in instead of putting fresh new packages in. I said before I respect Arians and his philosophy but I don’t think it’s right for this team.

So who's in control here, the coach or coordinator?

Arians was a hold-over, right? Not one of Tomlin’s hires. Could you really be suggesting that there is some kind of power struggle with the play calling? Because on top of the other issues we’re seeing, that would be a colossal problem.

Not really a struggle

I see it like a head coach giving input and expecting the OC to be able to take that input and make a solution. Then the OC taking that input and painting the turd he has instead of truly incorporating it into his offense. I see the head coach having to give more input.

Well?

I know he’s been more defense-oriented in his career. Have we got anything to lose by giving him the keys for the rest of the year?

No

especially if he’s gone next year…but that is yet to be seen
