The Mike Wallace Effect?
This thought just came to me: could mike wallace have played an extremely vital role in the team's success? Sure Troy Polamalu is our best and most important player; but consider this. In our first 8 games (when we were 6-2) wallace was tearing it up while accumulating 25 catches for 437 yards and 3 touchdowns. Pretty substantial numbers for a rookie if you ask me (especially in pittsburgh). Since then -during our 5 game losing streak- he's been held to just 7 catches for 93 yards and no touchdowns. Just a thought: but could it be that having wallace as our secret weapon gave us a significant advantage on offense? And since then when teams have started at least accounting for his big play ability, we've been shut out; even by defenses as bad as the chiefs, raiders, and browns.

Don't think so
Wallace’s stats were more a byproduct of an effective offense, whereas he is not producing in a stagnating offense.

I called BA today and suggested...
Take a couple shots down the field to spread the defense out when Wallace is on the field.
I wasn’t pleased because we didn’t win - Mike Tomlin (after the 2009 week 2 loss to Chicago).
can you post his # on here please
I think a few of us would like to have a chat with him too

I think I'll do a post of who the fans want to leave a message for and what they want to say.
Unfortunately I don’t have access to Tomlin anymore. If I did I’d ask him to fire BA.

I agree with CWM
Ben was playing much better in the 6-2 stretch than he has since as well as the offense in general. I think we peaked in the second half at Denver. Since then Ben and the rest of the offense have not been consistently moving the ball. There have been spurts that have accumulated decent yardage but overall the offense has looked very up and down in the second half of the season. I don’t have the games video taped so can’t go back and look but it appears that our recievers have been relatively easy to cover as of late. This makes me think that we are not being overly imaginative with our routes. I think that has more to do with it than Wallace being a secret weapon.
Who Dey?
Dey the guys getting beat in the 1st round of playoffs. So, you beat us twice, apparently, we weren’t that good.
