The 80's are in again in Steeler Nation

When I was a teenager in the 80's, I'll never forget all the stupid clothes I wore and bad music I moonwalked to, but I also remember the crazy math involved in figuring out Steeler playoff scenarios. How we needed the Oilers, Dolphins, Jets, and Chiefs to all lose in a very specific order for about three weeks running to get in as a wild card.

So now that we're back to that place, I have to admit it's kind of fun. The pressure's off. If by some miracle we get in, I'm partying, not expecting anything more. It's hard to have a miracle season when everyone expects as birthright to get into the playoffs.

That said I want to give my fan opinion about our woes. There has been one consistent problem that I believe is the root of our offensive offensiveness. That's the inability to make it in short yardage situations. And that is all about interior line. Last year we won in spite of it. This year we're losing in part because of it, and perhaps Arians (hate him) has designed this un-Steeler like scheme because of it.

In any case, as a guy, I'm more interested in fixing the problem than talking about how I feel about it. So that said, how bout we spend our main free-agent money / draft focus on Center and Tackle. Let's get the next Webster / Dawson, and the rest will take care of itself. Just my opinion

You guys had Dennis Dixon in there. 3rd string QB and does not win games of course. If you had Ben, we would have stood no chance. Ben is beating all the teams he is supposed to this year including KC, Oakland, Cleveland and Chicago. Oh, wait……

Yup

Gonna be a battle in two weeks. I think you guys however will end our playoff dreams. You will be hungry and I think that will be the best game you guys have seen your team play since you were 6-2. Going to be tough for sure, but I look forward to it.

I am trying to be optimistic and I hope by the time we play you guys we still have a STRAND of hope left, Ravens Basicly control there destiny for the most part(not sure ur xact scenerio but its gotsta be better than us) so i wouldnt be suprised if you guys swept out. Id love to see a Chitown or Black hole upset but you guys kick axx when you make up ur mind to, unlike our Unleashing.

Yea, I highly doubt we lose to Chicago or Oakland. Plus, it looks like Charlie Frye might be the starter for Oakland for the rest of the season. I was looking forward to facing the All-Pro QB that you guys made Gradkowski out to be.
