Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

Throw out your hatred of the Bengals until Sunday

Chris Henry is in the hospital battling for his life with head injuries. He was reported to be ejected from a moving pickup. This supposedly happened after a domestic dispute in Charlotte. There's a thread over at Cincy Jungle where people are offereing their condolences, support, and prayers. I think in a time like this football should be moved back on the list of priorities. No one wants to see this happen to anyone; myself included. If you have a chance follow the link and let the Bengal regulars know that we care. Pull through Slim!

I can still hate the Bengals.

But a game never comes before someone’s life — no matter whose life it is, nor whether you think that “if only that kid turned things around, maybe some of this stuff wouldn’t happen…”

Hope he pulls through OK. No family deserves to go through this kind of thing — especially when he’s already got three kids.

Thoughts are with Chris Henry

I just heard this news as well… my thoughts are with Chirs Henry and his family and the Bengals.

I hate the bengals with a passion

and I felt bad when I saw that this guy may not make it. That’s a shame. That said there’s no way I’m going and offering any courtesy to those animals.

I’ll say it here, I hope he gets better and can resume his career.

Wow...

Just couldn’t believe it when it cane across ESPN. He’s made some mistakes, but this is tragic. Thoughts and prayers go out to his family in this difficult time.

Terrible News

Hate to see a kid who has turned his life around be holding onto his life by a string. I hope he pulls through and can play football another day.

The Hell that Tomlin & the Steelers have unleashed on me this December is indescribable.

Holy Crap

I just heard on the radio Chris passed away. Oh man that is awful. Sad, sad, sad stuff.

He passed away

Unfortunately, Chris Henry just died. He had screwed up a lot but seemed to have gotten his life together. It’s a shame.

Really sad news, just when he looked like he was turning it all around...

..nice to see fans of all teams posting msgs on the thread on the Cincy Jungle site … such a waste to see a young man go out like that.

My sympathy and prayers to the Henry family

and the Bengals organization. Terrible tragedy.

Unbelievable...

He was so young, and had three young kids to boot. Their pain must be unimaginable. My condolences to his whole family.

Credit should also be given to the Bengals organization. When they brought him back it was surprising, but none of knew Chris like they did. They took him back and helped him begin to make the changes he was making in his life. This is a tragedy. A young man who had made mistakes was confronting them and making the changes he needed to in order to be a better man and father, just to suffer a sad fate.

This video was posted at Cincy Jungle, and it may give some fans some more insight into what the new Chris Henry was all about. Very sad day in the football world.

Such a sad story

Those poor children just lost their father and it looks like their mom may be at fault. Wow!

Awful News

I never met the man but this news hit me pretty hard. He had a troubled life and this is tragic news.

What a waste. I don’t think there’s anything sadder that young people dying before their time and leaving small children behind.

Sorry for your loss, Bengals fans.

Damn

First Sean Taylor, then Darrent Williams, then Chris Henry.

As much as I hate the Bengals it will be hard for me not to root for them this Sunday. They already had to deal with the death of Mike Zimmer’s wife, and now this just a few weeks later.

No team should have to go through that.

On the football side of his life

He was very valuable to the Bengals. He was their best deep threat. Early in the year he kept defenses at bay. With his loss against the Ravens the Bengals offense has suffered. He will be sorely missed by teammates on and off the field.

I loved his game when he was at WVU

It’s a shame he’s gone. Sounds like he made one mistake too many. May God bless his family.
