Who gave up ...

now?  Every one of you weenies who trashed the Steelers and their will to play and win are now proved to be the utmost idiots to ever assess spirit.  While there is obviously stuff that needs work, like being patient on an onside kick that is a mere yard from being successful, this team played its heart out.  There needs to be a flood of "forgive me Steelers" post clogging up the Internet [bless Al Gore].

i never gave up

i understood the onside kick… the idea was easy.. if it didnt’ work, then hopefully if green bay had scored there would be enough time on the clock for us to score. just like the superbowl (i was there) when the cardinals scored so quick, Tomlin’s reaction to his team, enough time left for us to score, same result, Holmes’ catch was THE catch for all super bowls, Wallace’s catch is THE catch of the year of all of the NFL.

I never gave up either

you can go back through my posts and check. Yes they need work, but YES I still have hope to make the playoffs! Then with a healthy Troy maybe even more!

Ha!

What a game! Oh man I thought we were dead in the water. Loved that determination dispayed today. That’s what championship teams show. We just need to do it week in and week out. I’m digging our offense’s urgency. Ben leading the team once again. Rashard is running with little fear. Let’s keep it up boys! If we get Troy back then next week and can win out we’ll need a lot of luck to get in but it’s possible. Let’s enjoy this week as we can hold our heads high once more! Man that felt great.

Bring a towel to the game. Black or gold or yellow. If you don't have one buy one, If you can't buy one, dye one!

None of us every gave up

We are just pessimistic about our chances of going to the playoffs. And we probably still will be considering our defense gave up a TON of yards. We are still on the outside looking in. Now we need to catch Denver.

Optimism. Positivity. Win.

Sorry but

I’m not apologizing for feeling negative or trashing several of the coaches. I’m glad they won, but I’m not sorry because they still fell apart in the fourth quarter and it took another miracle to win by one point when they had led by two scores.

This team still has issues, but they got it done this week.

Look

I agree. I rooted all the way, but watching our defense play in the fourth quarter is one of the worst sites I ever seen as a football team. They gave up 22 in the fourth quarter. That’s absurd. It’s one of the softest defenses I think I’ve ever seen the Steelers field – at least in the fourth quarter.

The only thing that saved us was Tomlin’s emphatic (and in retrospect well-deserved) vote of no-confidence in his defense. Minus the on-sides call we lose this game.

Sorry Tenthmtnman

They played a great game on offense today, and the coaches called a good game. The defense gave up a lot of points and a lot of yards. I will say they played with more intensity today than I have seen the last 4-5 weeks. None of that changes the fact that lost to 3 really bad teams because in large part they got out hustled. If they play those games with the intensity they did today, we win all three of those and aren’t even questioning if we are in the playoffs or not. So sorry no apologies, I hope we can come through and make the playoffs, possibly even with Troy coming back for the playoffs. If he is able to come back, this becomes a team nobody will want to play in the post season.

Apparently, it was ...

written at too high a reading level. This post was targeted at the numerous posters who questioned the Steelers’ will to play and win. It was targeted at the posters who stated, probably without any definitive knowledge, that the Steelers had given up. It has nothing to do with whether or not an individual poster had given up. It has nothing to do with the offense’s performance or the defense’s lack of performance. And it would be neither Harvard, nor Brown … Canisius.

Wasn't that most of the posts and comments last week

This site was talking about draft picks and throwing away the last 3 to get a higher pick. Very few defended the team.
