Reasonable Best case scenario for Steelers
Reasonable Best case scenario for Steelers
NFL tiebreaking procedures are here:

Can anyone translate that for ordinary fans?
If we win out, are we in or we're out as Broncos and Ravens will also have 9-7 records and as with three or more tied teams scenario, head to head case won't work?
Furthermore, there is a chance that Jacksonville Jaguars may win two more games and they also will be at 9-7.

here's an answer to my own question

But if u change the scenario and Jacksonville will also win out… we are out.
we're in under your scenario
As I understand it, in your scenario, here is what happens:
1. Balt gets 2nd place in the AFC North due to better division record than Pitt
2. Balt wins tiebreaker over Den for 5th seed due to head-to-head victory
3. Pitt wins tiebreaker over Den for 6th seed due to head-to-head victory
I think if Jax is also 9-7 then we’re out.
we need Jax and Denver to lose one more game a piece, and of course we need to win out

This. If they both lose next week (Jax is playing New England and Denver is playing Philly), plus we win out, we make it. If we win out and Denver wins out, Baltimore could lose both of their last two games and we would still make it, according to the playoff generator at least.

mike tomlin is hardcore
“I don’t live in my fear,” Tomlin said. “I just play to win, and I don’t worry about being judged.”
